Well, I for one prefer the olden days when games left it to your imagination. Like in Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines.

Frankly, unless you're making a rape simulator that's the best way to do it. No mass-market game is going to have anything worth looking at in it anyway. By putting in lameo midday-movie bollocks you're satiating the AYVB while making every adult roll their eyes at the tame and hilarious lameness. Witcher is more sexual, but if anything LESS explicit.

At least in Witcher you can make people think the mill is haunted. None of this 'headshot, now here's a knee' Victorian-era nonsense. :)

Incidentally, Mass Effect has a 12 rating here. The sex scenes are about what you'd expect for a 12 rated movie.

This is also my information lol those crazy Japanese rapists.

Vendetta, in AU it has an MA15+ rating, similar to Asscreed and Gears. I'm not hugely sure why (it's not gory, it's got nothing adult or challenging at all) but it's the highest rating a game can recieve here and not be banned instantly.

Well the violence might factor into it, Stark.

Not the combat but the fact that you can choose to shoot quite a few people in the head throughout the course of the game.

That's true: I was thinking just of the quite sanitised regular combat. You can do some pretty nasty things to people in conversation.

Over here you need gallons of blood, bits flying off, and guts being pulled out to get a real man's rating.

The box says 'strong themes, sex scenes, drug references'. Turns out Days of Our Lives should be MA15+ these days. I mean it has DEVIL POSSESSION. :)
