Who is the artist I'm crediting?
BTW, here is a test:

Sorry, forgot about it... I've been kind of busy lately, moving into a new apartment and getting ready for school to start again tomorrow. I actually have the scene set up already, I just need to let it run overnight. And now that you've reminded me, I'll do that tonight.

Ok, here's what I have right now. I'm not quite sure what's causing the depth of field blur on this view, even re-rendering with a sharper lens than the rear view didn't really change anything. And I really have no idea what's going on with the detail textures... the mapping for the rest of the ship is just fine, so I don't even know where to start on fixing the problem. But here it is anyway... if the blur is too much, I'll give it another try with an even more extreme lens.
(And yeah, I know, the instrument panel looks absolutely nothing like the movie version... this was actually the
best one I could find!)

Oh, yeesh! Yeah, looks like I may have to do some altering to that panel. That's terrible! Thanks for rendering it, though!

Yeah... the annoying thing is like I said a few posts back, this is the
best one I could find available for download. It wasn't bad for its time, but all of the available models are at least 5 years old (an eternity in CG time), so there are a lot of inaccuracies and import errors. If you can get your hands on an older version of 3dsmax (I believe 3 or 4) or maybe try and find someone with a different program, maybe the file conversion will work better.
Or, if you can find a better model, I can pretty easily re-render the images.
