The CIA is incompetent - that's why they couldn't find Bourne. The CIA demonstrated some remarkably poor tradecraft throughout the Bourne series and gave him a lot of opportunities to work his magic. In particular, in the Bourne Supremacy, the CIA should have immediately began to pack up their ops station in London once they realized it had been compromised by Bourne. Sure, it would be a pain in the ass to get all that shit relocated and moved and set up again, but going through that is better than the possibility that Bourne mentions the location to British Intelligence or somebody else and all of a sudden your super secret ops base is all over the front page of the London Times. And it took them far too long to realize that Landy had given Bourne the address to the Treadstone facility in New York. And what the hell kind of office security did Vosen have? Shouldn't there have been a door lock, or a secretary or something? Keep in mind that they're portraying the same CIA that couldn't find the fucking Chinese embassy on a map when picking targets for the Serbia air strikes in '99.

While I can't really comment on the Early vs. Fett fight (although I'm pretty sure that Fett would handily defeat the civil war general from the South of the same name), I'd say that movie Bourne would probably whip movie Fett's ass if Fett finds him at all. Bourne is playing with a ridiculous home field advantage here, and Fett's only chance to find him would be to get in touch with the CIA and try and get access to their data. Fett's resourceful enough that he might be able to do that, but then again the only thing more paranoid than the CIA in America might be Dick Cheney, so who knows. In the end, it wouldn't shock me to see Fett get his ass ambushed and killed by Bourne.

I'd have to give it to Bobba. Despite the fact that Early has a mighty roar and that he likes to lick spaceships, this does not erase the fact that his ship got stolen by a sixteen year old girl. If River had done anything especially fantastical I might let that slide, but from what I gathered she just put on the spacesuit and crawled inside, which anyone could do.

No one was supposed to know there was a spaceship tailing the Firefly. And I don't think the Jubal 1 (Slave One, geddit, hurr) had sensors good enough to tell River who was where and what was who. Well... I dunno. It did have fancy speakers and microphones.

Still, that was an unexpected vector of attack after Jubal tailed them and spied them out. It's a more noble death - being blindsided by a freako girl whose weirdo powers bypassed your stratagems - than being hit in the side by a blind guy whose stick bypassed your rocket pack.

She did far more than that. She consistently read Early's mind, formed a strategy and coordinated/kept track of at least four people simultaneously.

That's not something anyone can do, not by a long shot.

Having recently watched Objects In Space I think folks in this thread aren't giving old Jube enough credit. He was able, without back up, to track down a specific Firefly (of which there are thousands in service). A Firefly crewed by people quite experienced in staying off the radar. He was then able to infiltrate the ship and get the drop on every one of them. He was savy enough to pin point psycological weaknesses in Simon and Keelay seconds after meeting them and he was experienced enough to see Book for what he was. As mentioned by Thanas the only thing that beat him was the fact that River was able to get inside his mind.

By contrast Boba was knocked in to a pit by a blind man, when failing to protect his employer, and is only alive in the EU now by sheer force of fanboyism.
