That's the worst possible scenario--that Paramount will hedge its bets by making a low-budget ST movie which will only increase the rate at which the franchise spirals into oblivion. I hope that they put the money into a place where it's needed more--the WRITING for Enterprise is where the money can do the most good for the franchise.
I think sending Trek into the crapper at this point would be a good thing. It's been horrible for a long time and shows no signs of getting better. Unless they do something drastic (and they won't) Trek is doomed and that's for the better.

Hell, I'd rather they just made an episode out of Q-In-Law or Q-Squared than another shit movie.
