Okay we seem to know what we all know and have our OOBs done. The chamaran's probably be sending stealth pods to scan some of the imperial remnant factions and get more info than 'faction goes here'. Their doubled strategic speed is gonna be vital for the Chamarans to be involved as they're so far away though.
Makay being outside the imperial trade network mostly has degraded technologically its true, in the last game one of the BETAC captains thought the Makay defence ships would better serve as museum pieces than warships.
So now for the final question, when are we gonna actually start the game?

I may put the game thread up before the end of the day. However, I have one question I'd like answered. How are we dealing with the greyed out inactive factions? I would like to treat them as still active NPC controlled factions that are going to kinda do their own things still, just not actually being aggressive to us if we aren't aggressive to them. The Northeast can be a mass of pitched battles as the Coronans fight the 5th fleet who fights the xenos of the sector too. Syndicalism is a constant threat of internal dissent, and the whole of the far south is barbarians like the Konige and the Haruhists. Betac and the Archeans have fallen into internal squabbling masses after Makay, etc. I think we need the action, otherwise this galaxy is going to be a very big empty place.

That works, we assume they're doing something and leave them to it. Though with any luck some of them will revive once the shooting starts in earnest.

Pretty much what I was hoping.

Anther vote for NPC's for the grey guys... If for nothing else then because a lot of effort went into them, and it always hurts to see such great characters left out of a game.

If that's the case then how in the game are they? Like could we attack them?
Also who controls them?

They're background fluff so the galaxy doesnt seem so empty Ohma. You dont attack them, they dont attack you and you cant make any meaningful diplomatic negotiations with them but the north eastern war zone makes a good thing to comment on in the galactic news network.

Oh okay then, shiny.

Yes shiny like the fusion beams of the chamaran battle fleet sterilizing worlds of man and reducing cities to lava. *mwahahaha*

Ssooo...are we starting soon?

Hmm well I've come to the conclusion that the chamaran stealth pods useless as they are for any other use are in fact invisible to everyone unless you actually get on top of them. So basically everyone now has a few more spy satellites cluttering up the edges of their space except Ohma, and no idea how they got there. I'm pondering who the Chamaran's should goose with their raiding fleet.
Edit: Anyone up for being goosed?

Oh yeah, I suppose I should decide where my T-1's have been sent. Well I'm sending the Virginia Hall and Sarah Aaronsohn into Kushawni space, and the Yoshiko Kawashima and Sonya Olschanezky to the HU.
I'd say that unless you're very close, actively looking for them with comparable or better sensor tech/operators, or have much better sensor tech/operators, or some permutation of those, that you wont be able to tell my T-1s are there. (though they'll probably still have trouble intercepting and decoding useful information from you)
EDIT: OOH, main thread is up? And it's turn -?, I assume that means we're setting up our situations for turn one? (like I launch my stealth ships and stuff?)

I reckon we can dive into turn 1 when the shooting starts. Though Ohma are the stealth ships going to actually do anything? seen as they're put bluntly invisible and wont cause any reaction from the people they're ghosting until they do.

Yeah, they probably won't do anything until there's shipping to sink...err laser.

I hope not.
I haven't noticed if anyone else involved has been on the forums for the last few days so
hopefully this is just because everyone else hasn't logged on for a bit rather than getting bored already.

I've got some ideas for interesting things to happen, but I kinda' need to be able to talk with Tann about them. (namely, I'm fairly certain one of my stealth ships sent to HU space has been infiltrated by the anti-Dominatrixiat resistance)

I don't have any initial fleet moves. The only move I am making is sending out a bunch of couriers to extend an invitation to a summit of Imperial Remnants. I may put a story up sometime within the next two days though.
By the way, I think I may be the super-mod so I guess I need to get two helpers elected. Darkevil, you have been the number two for this restart and I would like to nominate you. I would also like to nominate Tanasinn, mainly because I think his OOB is beautiful, and is everything we wanted to achieve for this round of STGOD.
As for the stillbirth idea, I don't plan on letting this STGOD die for a long time. So don't worry. If nothing else, I'll talk to myself.

@crossroads_inc: Oh sorry was that the sound of an irrelevant and irreverent group of primates shaking their fists at the sky i hear?
And Hellion, if the group is fine with it i accept if only to be there for if you and Tanassin start shooting at eachother.
Edit: *Now has an urge to do something very silly regarding the invitation Makay may have gotten*

Should I just go ahead and do my thing with the traitorous stealth ship crew and see how Tanassin reacts?

Hey, happy for you to join the fun Thirdfain. Just so you know, you aren't getting an invite to the summit, but if you gate crash I won't kill you on sight. Hooy boy, good day for you.
