Oh man it's terrible.
It looks alright, I'll try it before I knock it.

And if you've played the Rock Band drums for any period of time, you can tell immediately why that kit sucks.

The Rock Band drum kit has four pads that are multi-use depending on what the song calls for. The green pad is generally cymbals but is often used in drum rolls like the ones Rush are famous for. Such a drum roll is literally impossible on the GH4 kit, because they only have three drum pads. It will be impossible for them to map out a LOT of drum songs with a realistic feel. The two cymbal pads give the illusion of more realism, but they're pretty terrible as well. What about two cymbals that are right next to each other? In Rock Band, you'd hit green, blue, green, to simulate going back and forth between the two, but what is analogous on GH4's kit? Either you hit the same cymbal thrice, the second time with an obviously different sound (and the animation showing the rummer hitting something else) or you have to reach over and hit the cymbal on the other side of the kit, which is completely unlike on the real kit and again would not be reflected in the player model's animation.

For a good example of what I'm talking about, see this video, particularly 2:35, 3:00 and 3:20, and right at the end.

I'm saying it's NOT worth a try, because the reasons I already gave. I can tell just by looking at the set that I won't be able to sit down at it and play a song and think "holy shit it feels like I'm playing the actual song".
