When ballots have fairly and constitutionally decided, there can be no successful appeal back to bullets.

Oil an emergency?! It's about time, Brigadier, that the leaders of this planet of yours realised that to remain dependent upon a mineral slime simply doesn't make sense.

I don't know if it was a recon or not, but I had read that the purple wigs were some sort of anti-static precaution. Apparently in the lunar environment, computer equipment was in deadly peril from long haired women and shedding cats.Jade Falcon wrote:I think there are a few episodes where you see the Moonbase girls without their wigs. At least one episode had Commander Gay Ellis Earthside, and there was a background episode showing the forming of Shado which showed Bishop meeting the coloured woman whose name escapes me for the moment.

That sounds like a retcon, if only for the fact that the men were allowed to walk into the control room long-haired and wigless. Perhaps this one is best filed under "quirk of the times".Nyrath wrote:I don't know if it was a recon or not, but I had read that the purple wigs were some sort of anti-static precaution. I remember the anti-static idea from the Dr Who extended universe book "The Indistructable Man", which tried to tie together almost all of the Jerry Anderson books into one, rather dark, universe. So its not canon, if I remember correctly one the characters in the book makes the same point about it only being for women and thinking its probably not the real reason.Nyrath wrote:I don't know if it was a recon or not, but I had read that the purple wigs were some sort of anti-static precaution.
