Lets review
1. My various moves up until my absence were aimed at creating a very strong shield to prevent my nuking, leaving me untouched during "The First Nova War" as I now retrocon it.

Orbitals
2. The various GPS Satellites would have been un-touched, which means I'd still have access to Worldview III, the Royal Radar Mapping MK IV's(Only two were ever planned for 2011 launch, since they had only commerical not military application being to high up to map underground bunkers and the like, they were for heightmapping), plus GPS and Weather satellites.

What was lost
Old MK I/II/III Royal Radar Satellites
Pretty much all the Vulpsats(Did Vuplesia get nuked?) so most of my visual birds are down

Possibly the WorldView II satellites as well, those are pretty low, right at or around the 1,000 km orbit
Half the Hisco system

Left in orbit
12 Shroomanian/UKB GEO Communication/Internet Satellites.
3 UKB Royal Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite(GOES)
Half the HISCO System

Why do I say I still have half the HISCO(AKA SCORECARD?)
It's simple, the KKV's were at a use it or lose it, depending on my intel/reactions the first weapon to go off in orbit would have resulted in the rest of the KKV's getting flushed or dropped, they were designed to be to simple to degrade quickly in a standard Van Allen environment. However if you start flaring that degeration goes much quicker(Thus a two year life-span might become a two week lifespan)

They had roughly 9 months left on the clock when those went off, with the exception of the Umpire's which were safely shileded inside the base satellites.

How useful the HISCO satellites are for communication right now is up in the air(I'm betting pretty piss poor, any exposed parts being irradted to hell) in fact I'm willing to say a good third of the HISCO birds are a total right off within the year left alone forty years later.

3. Which brings me to point three, no one being any fit state to stop me launching newer and better KKV systems at lower orbitals, target able by high scale ground missiles yes but with a engagement window so small as to be unstoppable even with 40+ year technology (Please lets see you hit a target screaming in at anywhere from 18KpS to 30 KpS)

Likley that means the UKB 40 years later(Baring acts of Q) would be a hyper-power without enough artillery in the sky to make any conventional war a sort, decisive affair with the UKB untouched and the attacker's fighting ability obliterated.

The flip side is of course the cost of such a system and the state of the world would leave the UKB disinclied to foreign adventurous, they can't afford a large standing army or a large navy with such a huge portion of the budget going towards "Rods from god" and missile defense.
4. And yes refugee's would be a serious issue, I'd think my country would drop to 2nd world status from all the raft people alone coming in from various countries.

Now time to read.

*Edit, I'm going to have to decide what I did with all those very quick to become useless KKV's, stand by. Likly I'd drop them on Mr "Lets blow up the sky" over there.

I was gunning for the ShroomSats as well, actually, though they were a lower-priority target (probably later on the launch rolls, with FUN military satellites and their manned space program the priority).

"Blow up the sky?" Hardly, that was just a side-effect of what I was doing.

Shroomsats were at GPS 36,000 KM orbits and were launched by my own country, since they are stationary hitting all 14 active satellites would require seperate launchers over many different targets and would require you to fire over hostile countries which leads me to question how you could have so many full up and up space rockets without getting KKV'd to death around rocket 2. Either you had to build full-scale launching pads for all sixteen(Plus whatever you tossed into the Van allen belts) and launched everything at once, or you had to stagger launchs and got piff'd between rocket 2 and rocket 3, or rocket five and rocket seven, whatever.

Didn't I just say I was going for the them late in the launch sequence? I also didn't say I downed all of them, did I?

Excuse me I have been away from the game to long

I just realized Phong did me a wierd sort of favor...

You see by nuking El Dorado, my capitol, largest civilian and military shared airforce base, home to sin, sleaze, and other things, he pulled a Henry V, and First thing he did was Kill ALL THE LAWYERS (Along with Jason, and the Whole Senate).

Looking back, Bear, I probably should've just demanded you stay neutral in the conflict - and informed you of the massive fallout cloud coming your way, courtesy of your "allies" - and then used my entire strike force to hit the RT.

Ok I now have 17 pages of game thread left to read

Lets review
Jenova witness maddness
Space Race, with UKB rockets being sold.
One hundred and six assassination attempts against everyone(Seems to be in fashion for someone to try and kill you in Thread III)
Zalbania blooms again(Except I planned to use it as a test range, good thing I was out for that part of the game)
Rambo? Come the fuck on
Cobra? Come the fuck on

Fuck 400 posts left, time to take a break.

If Phongn exploded nuclear munitions in LEO, anything in LEO is lost after so many years, but after 40 years of course Bean had the time to restore it all - but, you had a 10 year recession period (your nation was indiscriminately attacked with bioweapons from Saddam).

GEO satellites of course are unharmed (I always presumd you kept some targeting satellites in GEO, as well as a few "long-term retaliation" devices).

UKB is a hyperpower much like the United States (I figured that you'd be helping the huge mass of refugees from my nation and Zoria, or at least pouring some aid into the RT and other FUN Nations in the central sea to avoid the fugee problem).

I'm leaving for my annual 2-week military training for the Reserves; I'll be at Ft. Lewis, Washington, so if I don't participate, it is not for lack of interest. If I have internet access I'll try to check in, but I doubt I'll have much access or time to enjoy it.

Enjoy, meantime, and try not to blow up the world... again. :D

Bio-weapons would have had serious issues of penetrating my anti-missile shield I built in 2009 and kept building in 2010, patention zero's escaping would have had issues as well but considering I had enough shelters for 2/3 of the population at the time of the attack that were good spec'd to be good for a full month would seriously reduce the effectiveness of a biological or chemical attack.

Again, I'll withold comment until I can read all 17 pages tomorrow.

Well so I figured. You lost just around a million people in total from all consequences, including the bio-attack itself and subsequent damage to people or livestock, from a total population of what, 60 million.

Shroomania still has Comona Island. We're still gonna have space assets and shit.

Oh, the ShroomSats and Strats are now an omniscient network of all-seeing eyes. ShroomSEES.

Basically most space assets have been launched during the 40-year recovery period.

The chances of anything surviving for 40 years in space is nonexistent, even hardened GEOsats have a lifetime of 7-10 years max and need to be constantly replaced.

This ongoing cost of replacement also means modernization of space assets is extremely slow. Though I could understand - with post-war ravage, any nation could now launch spy satellites into the lowest orbits and getting high-res pictures of the world.

Shroom has Comona Island, and the UKBs launch vehicle factories are intact. In fact, if you both scraped enough resources together, you could still continue Selene with little disruption :D

Even the original astronauts were at Comona...except for Selene 2 primary and backup crews, they've died when Korolev was hit.

Space Station Shroom. ShroomStation Selene!

I was thinking that in the post war period, and with the fascism, MacMillan would become not a multicorporation but...

MACMILLAN MEGACORPORATION.

Assimilating MushroomMeds, they will dispense mind-numbing complicity-concocting Prozium to the beleaguered and repressed masses. Shroomanians would be doped by it, unable to feel and numbed from the horrors of the world around them!

Dark Liquid would also be assimilated, and now as the Mushroom Military quells civil dissent and whatnot, we could see Dark Liquid PMCs being sent to pacify hotspots all over the Duchies of the FUN. THE WAR ECONOMY! It'd be just like Metal Gear Solid 4!

I think we'd remake the Excalibur. The Second Sword!

Basically, Shroomania will be a sci-fi dystopia. Blade Runner, plus Equilibrium - and ROBOCOP! Delta City!

At night, MacMillan would project advertisements into the Shroomanian skyline!

Well... Shroomania basically gets fucked up after the war. But at least our leader is a cyborg despot and not Thulsa fucking Doom.

I think I'll stick with grabbing people in the crotches while routinely injecting myself with Prozium!

Salve and salvation!

The glue of our great society!

I am the opiate of the masses!

SNAAAAAAAAIL!

Yes! The Fungal Fuhrer will try to save humanity from itself, whether it wants it or not! He will unite the world under His wise leadership and bring it forth into a new age of Prozium-induced peace!

...to that end, he shall build a vast force of nuclear powere supersonic megabombers armed with tens of thousands of nuclear weapons, and unleash them on his chief rival - the UKB...

:P
