Ludacris and Nelly Furtado throws up red flags for me but the trailer so far is looking promising. Bigger concern is the PG-13 and how fucked up they can go with that rating.

Personally I always figured that Max Payne was a dead ringer for Johnny Knoxville. I'm sorry but any movie Marky Mark has been in with the exception of The Big Hit has been crap. I'm gonna prepare for the worst and hope for the best on this one.

Well, we're fucked, people. As the main site says: 'Max is faced to battle enemies from beyond the natural world'.

Great. Those really are angels then.

Hopefully they mean that in a metaphorical sense? I mean, maybe they mean the personal demons that pop up in his drug addled visions? Yeahh, I'm reaching, here...

Has Johnny Knoxville ever been in a remotely serious film? Plus, his voice is all wrong.

I seriously hope you are joking. Mark Wahlberg was in The Departed, not Donnie.

Really? I always saw him as having Brad Pitt's face, and Edward Norton's voice. Or possibly the other way around.

Yeah Norton would have been a good choice, Brat Pitt is just too pretty, Max Payne needs to be a crusty, tired motherfucker.

Indeed, most of his "dialogue" is actually monologues aimed at the audience, but it is a game, if you cut the extra-long action sequences needed to make it a fun game, there's a fair amount of dialogue (you can actually read the graphic novel in-game and it works as a graphic novel).... you know, specially when compared to others... like Gordon Freeman, or the DooM Guy.... and Duke Nukem's one-liners hardly count

As for the Angels being actually real Angels.... Fucking awesome, they can't manage to have Demons in the DooM movie, but they get supernatural crap in this one? Awesome.... but the bad kind of awesome.

In the Departed Wahlberg's lameness was negated by the living awesomeness that is Jack Nicholson

He also acted like a total ass in the Departed, so he was cool.

I think he also didn't die. Hah!

Guess I was, I remembered one Wahlberg in it and he looked more like Donnie normally does.

And we now have posters

The first makes me go "Aw Hell no!" and the second makes me go "Aw Hell yes!".
I think they're deliberately baiting all us fanboys with the angels just to piss us off.

They have succeeded in pissing me off. But I do like the posters.

I guess the only thing we can do is wait.
