I hate the chain-smoker voice too. It's not just a chain-smoker voice; it's like a chain-smoker who talks through her nasal passages. Try plugging you nose and speaking. That's a less annoying version of Janeway's voice.

But, you know what I hate more? I hate, REALLY HATE, those stupid smirks she makes. It's like a condescending "look how cute Neelix is when he acts like a Starfleet officer" face. I wish someone would just punch her fucking teeth out when she makes that smirk.

Perhaps Janeway should be using Fisherman's Friend to 'fix' that voice of hers.

Actually, Saavik was the original one in the script in TUC, but they couldn't get her to do it or something.
