Except it isn't magneto. This is from X-Force #1, which introduced Shatterstar. Shatterstar was followed through the dimensional portal or what by a bunch of guys from his own universe.

That's Shatterstar stabbing one of the bad guys from his universe through his own chest.

That is a very, very good imitation of Liefeld's style, except for three things.

1. The face has too much depth, and the shading actually adds to the illusion of three-dimensionality.
When Liefeld draws a face head on, he starts with a squared-off shape like a pair of tighty-whiteys laying flat on a dresser. Then he adds a corona of 'shading' lines in the center to make the bulge--er, nose. Then he adds a pair of irregular quadrilaterals as eyes and an upper lip for the mouth. Then he etches random lines where the cheekbones, eyebrows, chin, forehead and skin should go on the face, making sure that the lines are all excruciatingly indistinct from any actual facial features they may obscure.

2. Not nearly enough taper in the legs. While Liefeld is a fan of inflated thighs that look like a dozen sausages bundled together by a holster strap, he has sworn a death-oath against the very possibility that any of his characters have "cankles". No, their calf muscles, tendons and shinbones all dwindle down almost to a point before reaching his characters' daintily bound feet (when seen). In order to get the right amount of taper, try to imagine Arnold Schwarzenegger's calves flowing into Dakota Fanning's ankles, back when her ankles were about an inch in diameter.

3. Not enough pouches. You need at least four (4) pouches to have little tiny sub-pouches sewn onto them. Per limb.

On the other hand, Wolverine has impaled Magneto, on his metal claws on several occasions. (admittedly sometimes that was bone clawed Wolverine, but its happened since he got the metal back as well)

Ultimate Colossus has beaten up Magneto as well although he did have to over power Mag's through gay love first.

Hmmm.. First of all, good job getting the basics. You're not quite getting the correct amount of suck, but to do so you must unlearn what you have learned about human anatomy.

For example, the neck you drew looks like a neck, not a volcano covered in crazy bulge lines. And again, the calves/lower legs actually look like they can support your character's weight, which is all wrong for Liefeld's floating gas pouch characters.

Liefeld Check List

*Giant bulging codpiece

It's not bulging enough, nor in Liefeld's characteristic way. Look at Hav's picture. Liefeldian crotches look like the wartime Rising Sun emblem of the Japanese navy, but with all the connecting vertices erased.

*Giant swords/knives sticking out the back with no straps
Brilliant!

*Oversized elbow and shoulder pads
Also good, although they could stand a lot more crosshatching.

*Tiny head relative to size of body
Not tiny enough! Is your character some kind of intellectual?

*Lots of pouches around the waist
You have an acceptable amount of patches, but I would like to see more pouches-on-pouches, myself.

*Oversized legs
See above. While Liefeld loves meaty thighs, in his heart he wants the whole world to walk around on little tiny geisha feet. I suggest sticking your character's shins into a pencil sharpener.

*No feet
Bravo!

*Magic crayon background

*Tiny face cast half in the dark with a glowing left eye socket
Well done! Needs more random lines, though. He should look like Edward James Olmos and Jurgen Prochnow's sickly lovechild.

*Poorly drawn hands masked by oversized lazer rifle
Very well done. Next time make sure to get the perspective all wrong between the gun's handle and its barrel. It should look luke a macaroni tube sitting on the dude's clenched fist.

How was he so popular, even though there is relatively little craft behind his work? But his style is certainly distinctive and drawing like that is rather addictive.
The same reason Palin's popular among soccer moms, maybe.
"If he can be a millionaire comic book artist, the I can, too!"

The feedback is informative and hilarious, Bob the Gunslinger. What do you think of my other drawings? I think I got Liefeld's pechant for stupid feet right.

Liefeld Check List #2

*Giant codpieces, even on some of the women

*If feet are shown they have tiny ankles and are very pointed. The feet on Hulk-style characters should look like cut tree stumps

*Almost nonexistant female waists

*The faces often have small pointed noses, slanted eyes and high cheekbones

*Key scenes are direct copies from other people's artwork

*Too many teeth

*No facial expressions apart from scowling

*Stiff oversized 80s hair styles

*Female torsos snapped in two or three places and weighed down by giant boobs

Be careful, Orange. You don't want to accidentally become a pro at Liefelding. Then we'd have to kill you for sucking so much.

I can still draw people quite normally.

Here is a picture of a middle aged secret agent:

Here is a picture of how Liefeld would draw the same character:

That guy's gun is a) smaller than his torso and b) only has one barrel. Is he a civilian?

But dude...

A) His bursting thighs are wider than his torso.

B) The feet have tiny ankles with no hope of supporting a muscle bound body like that. Plus they're pointed.

C) He's got that retarded screaming/laughing facial expression shared by many Liefeld drawn characters. The face has a tiny nose as well, common Liefeld trait.

D) His neck looks like a fricken volcano.

E) His left hand is bigger than his ball like right hand.

F) Pouches.

G) An oversized sword sticking out the back.

H) Pouches.

I) Bulging erection.

In one of them I think Magneto had jut gotten mind fucked so he was n't exactly in position to defend himself.

This is why Rob finds every excuse to avoid drawing them. Coming up over inexplicably-placed mounds of dirt, hidden behind the thigh (not hard), ect. All to hide the misshapen stumps that are the feet.

Obviously overcompensating for something! ;)

The pouches would have skulls on.

<looks at minis>

Some of mine already do.

On the other hand, while the firearms can get quite large ( :kill: ), they all have quite large and obvious feet. Also, their armour doesn't show every muscle fibre and sinew under their skin.

I swear, I let my sister assemble one of my beakies a long time ago, and it looked like that.

chainsword glued to the top of the backpack, more pouches then I can count, extra skulls, extra guns glued on....

oh did I mention the chainsword glued to the front of a bolter too.

His head needs to be lower, sort of scrunched on his body, or his neck needs to take up more like 80% of top of his body.

That Space Marine needs more of the Liefeld-approved Bulging Package Treatment.

It also needs a chainsword afixed sideways tp the oversized bolter.

---edit===
and bigger thighs, and more skulls this is 40k after all, skull 0n the codpiece, skull on the shoulders elbows, knees, covering up the non-existant feet, skulls on each of the pouches, which should include double bandeleers running cross the chest, pouches on each arm, three rows of pouches on each leg, Darkknight batbelt pouches, and probably pouches hanging from the purity symbols.
