Does anyone have herbalism? I understand there's the new 'Lifeblood' skill, but I didn't seem to get it automatically with the patch, and I havn't found an herbalism trainer who teaches it. How do you get it?

You get it automatically with Herbalism - look in your spellbook under general, it will in alphabetical order with everything else, as usual.

Thanks. I poked around, but didn't see it last night. I really like 'mixology' for alchemy, it doubles the duration of all the potions, flasks, and elixers I drink.

Well, that was fun. I just corpse-hopped my way into an instance I had never known about before, the Stockades. Did this for the achievement, of course. Stormwind is a pretty city, and watch your feet, I left a lot of bones behind. Those level 75 guards are brutal.

You got into the Stockades as a horde? NICE. That's not easy.

Good point, although I sharded the cloak I had from the Azshara dragon when I hit Hellfire so I wouldn't have gotten it anyway.

I remember reading on EJ that the reputation wouldn't count because technically you could say, wipe forever on a boss leading up to Ragnaros and get Exalted Hydraxian Waterlords that way, for example.
Of course I guess a GM just went, "You know what, he has the rep, he clearly was a successful raider because of X, Y, Z loot, I'll just give it to him."

I wonder how hard it'll be as alliance to get into Ragefire Chasm, specially if you're not familiar with Orgrimmar's layout.
By the way, Captain Chewbacca, what's that 'mixology' thingie?

My main is a Ret. Pally ( lvl.58 so still a noob), and I gotta say that it's been pretty kick ass so far. I have no comparisons as to how badly they nerfed the Ret's before BC, but given that there's been a spike of raid groups looking for Ret. Pallies, they must've really kicked ass before.

I only know that my Retribution Paladin is better by way of the fact that areas I've just gone through without leveling are much, much easier. The Dark Crystal-knock offs in the Hellfire Peninsular had a creature called the Windwalker/talker and just one of this things would reduce my health to half. Now they barely bring me down to 80%.
I'm just relieved because so many people said "Hey! You like to solo do a Ret. Pally!" and more often than night I was having difficulty.

Yeah occasionally you do catch a GM whose feeling nice and will give you the recognition, I read that thread as well and realised how lucky I was.
Actually ended up going back to MC/BWL/ONY/ZG last night anyway just for fun, like 8-10 of us were just messing around reliving the good old days inside there.

We've being doing that on Talnivarr for months. Same with old Naxx before it left.

Blizz must hate the EU Blackout battlegroup as they DC the servers in it then shut down the Login server (which I not 100% wasn't intentional).

There seems to be trouble with all the EU servers, there's been rolling restarts, and I think they've issued an emergency patch, but these things are to be expected after a major content update.

It's not just the EU servers - it's the US and Oceania ones, too. Given that, I presume this extends to ALL servers, and, as pointed out, is not uncommon after a major update/revision.
But the bugs are being worked out and shortly it will be business as usual again.

Its nowhere near as bad as the TBC update was, so at least Blizzard seem to have got better at something. Still getting times of insanely bad lag at random times over here on the EU servers, and random disconnects and world server crashes, as well as the battlegrounds and instances going down sometimes.
PvP is one of the things i'm actually coming to enjoy again about this patch, purely because its back to the sort of way it was preTBC when everything was just a gigantic instagibb fest and there was no resilience or anything like that. Playing my mage as arcane and its finally got that glass cannon feel back that I missed about the class. Yes I can unload a huge amount of damage on an enemy, but if someone gets close i'm dying very quickly since i've got very few escape mechanisms anymore. Even when i specced frost for a few hours I didn't. Used to be able to kite warriors 1v1, but now its impossible to kite any class since they all have some way of closing the distance again.

one thing I hate is that they desided to put Stockades/Ragefire chasm into the "classic dungeonmaster" as 99% people wouldn't bother with 1 of those wasn't it for the talent.
for those not playing WoW those 2 dungeons are in Stormwind(faction capital for humans(alliance race)) and Orgrimmar (faction capital for the orcs(horde race)), so 1 instance in 100% hostile zone for either horde characters or alliance characters, with level 75-80 guards (max level for players atm is 70 and targets 5 or more levels higher are next to impossible to hit).
did RFC with my pally and Stocks with my mage (did the fishing diplomat achivement with my mage too)

Oh, right, because no one ever raided Stormwind or Orgrimmar before the recent patch.
If folks can launch a raid on a racial capital they sure as hell can organize a party to trash the city's instance.
Corpse-dragging to a location is a challenge in and of itself. Why should all achievements be easy? You
should have to earn some of them.

It's actually really really common to get into those instances. Heck, Ragefire Chasm is used more often as a place for Alliance raiding Orgimmar to buff up in safety than it is as a low level instance.
On the general subject of achivements - IMO there should be a Feat of Strength for doing an instance without anyone in it who overlevels it.

but then no-one would do it

and also can outgear an instance without actually out leveling it (think of a Tier 6 in one the easier outland lvl 70 instance on non-heroic)
I got to say that I love some of the changes they've made though, for example now my pally can actually kill mobs with inflicting damege instead of boring them to death.

Not that reaching the Stockades is that hard anyway, I managed it by myself yesterday, riding in from the harbour. I did die on the way out, but that's because I stopped to get the fishing achievement, but if you HS out, it's pretty simple.
Of course, it was harder before, with you needing to ride through highly populated areas, and the only alternative being the Tram.
As for getting into RFC, Orgrimmar has a back entrance too, so mounted raiders should be able to make it if they know the layout.
Now, what I'm not liking about the achievements, is that the ones that actually give you something tangible, like say, custom titles, require the latest expansion (WotLK), thus smelling of a ploy to sell more boxes, just like the pre-BC upgrades felt. I'm saddened that they didn't go the same way as City of Heroes goes about it's badges, wich is exactly the same, but each single badge can at least be "worn" as a custom title, even if nothing else is unlocked.
Not sure what they have in mind with the achievement points in the future, but right now, the achievements are just a fun thing to do, but without further significance outside of your character screen. What good is it to fully explore the continent, if I can't have some recognizable sign of doing so? I had already explored the whole damm world without achievements on!

You get a tabard and title once you've explored Northrend as well.
Others give mounts.

Does anyone know if the Beast Master tree is broken or not? My main is a hunter, although I haven' played recently since I decided to let the patch business get all sorted out. I was specced BM before the patch came out, but I heard from a friend that something about The Beast Within and Bestial Wrath is broken. I tried a simple google search but I didn't see anything specific.

Yes, I know, I was pointing out that it would be nice for the minor achievements to give a title too, thus adding a bit more customization to characters. Also, I was complaining that, with the sole exception of the Halloween achievements (wich I suspect will change come next year) every other achievement reward requires access to Northrend, thus making it a WotLK-exclusive improvement.

Not true - get exalted with the 5 Azeroth home cities of your faction you can gain the title "Ambassador"
Exalted with Sporregar, Mag'har, and Timbermaw gains you a title
Exalted with Cenarion Circle and Cenarion Expedition gain a title.
That's just under reputation - you sure there aren't others?
Do the "Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy!" achievement - UBRS, which doesn't even require TBC - and you get the last name "Jenkins".
