She did seem very dismissive of Obi-Wan when he pointed out the system was missing.

You're still sure that it weren't the Kaminoans themselves, or at least somebody they had hired??

Remember, Kamino does not seem to be a very defended world, and they might value their neutrality above all else.

Unfortunately Jocasta Nu used to be a member of the Jedi Council and probably would be completely against anything of the sort.

We can't be sure if it was Dooku or not because we don't know when he left the order, he couldnt have done it when he left the order unless the Jedi just let him run around the temple when he wants. Im going to go with the Dias conspiracy since he seems to bethe guy with the most unanswered questions surrounding him.

btw- Why the hell do they call him COUNt Dooku, what is he the count of?

I still prefer the theory in witch the newly elected Palpatine secretly asked military help from Sifo and Sifo influenced by Dooku (already Tyranus but hiding this) placed the order. Since Sifo's elimination was already planned Dooku used his true identity when hired Jango. Sifo deleted Kamino from the archive to secure the secrecy and soon afterwards he was killed and Dooku left the Order.
If Jocusta Nu would have knowledge about the deletion She wold have been eliminated too as a security risk.
While it is just a fiction it is quite logic.

Possibly Count of all great Hammer Horror Films....

Or maybe it has to do with his sword style...you can literally count the moves on your fingers....

Or perhaps...and this is unlikely...he acquired the title on some ass-end of the galaxy planet......

Count Dooku

Ref. Dooku, the AOTC Visual Dictionary offers: 'He left the Jedi Order after the Battle of Naboo, returning to his homeworld of Serenno and his family title of Count.'

What I'd like to know is, how did his family--descendents by now, mostly--feel about this guy waltzing back into their lives after decades of absence. It'd be even more annoying if in returning he usurped some younger relative's authority over the family fortune--man, talk about a setup for potential sibling rivalry! (Good fanfic scenario, no?)

I think he confused Episode III in May 2005 with The Return of the King in December 2003.

I'm of the opinion that it was Darth Shaft (Mace Windu). Yoda keeps giving him these weird looks when Kenobi is reporting on Kamino. He also answers awfuly fast about no member of the council made the order. During the arena fight he was VERY determined to kill Fett, and looked like a man who just killed a personal enemy. Could it be Fett knew something incriminating?

Interesting but unlikely. I still Dooku probably erased the files 10 years earlier. It does have the benefit of explaining why the planet has not been "rediscovered", but if Kamino is a highly isolated, insular society, that problem might solve itself.
That's not even a real neccesity. I mean, lets say that a US mapmaker decided to leave a small suburb of Manchester off it school maps. There may be a lot of traffic through the area, but so long as no one from the one school in Jersey they sold it to didn't try an look it up, who'd notice?

This kind of thing happens all the time in real life. If Kamino is a quiet corner of the galaxy - and we saw no large transport docks, though they might still exist.

Plus if it were trully highly insular....some diner owner...well informed or not is unlikely to know about them.

It could be that he once had met a Kaminoan. After all, there are rumours that a Kaminoan can be seen somewhere in Dex' Diner, although most people deny it.

Which would require either that they travel about the galaxy in general or that he went to thier system....either way doesnt really fit highly insular....

It would have to be a bit more than that. After all he did recognize the saberdart based on markings on it.

And knew the rough location of the system off the top of his head based on that.....

An analogy would be similar to the owner of a diner in new york knowing that a small dart came from someone called "Bob" who lived in Southern Tibet in a small village and giving you his exact address.....at least in terms of the scale.....
