On a completely unrelated note, a thought just occured to me. Airport screeners manage to find knitting needles and razor blades, yet they can't spot a gun on the X-ray thing.

Been awhile since I've been to a gunshow
This was back in 1999, but I think it was about $349, and this
MAK-90 (or some other AK variant) had been around the block
a few times.....

The Gun racks at walmart sorta put me off...

Ah, but in Minnesota there are lots of deer and various types of birds to be shot by hunters. It's possible that the hunters could use the same gun for everything but where's the fun in that. Multiple guns means you need a place to store them (gun rack), although these days the smart and responsible gun enthusiast has a gun safe to lock his/her guns in. It's much better if there are children who might be around and it makes it difficult for the guns to be stolen as well. :)
Ok so it was the guns in the gunracks that bothered me, not the racks themselves. You see, in lil' ol' backwards sweden we dont see a lot of guns. Basically only cops have them. So to see rack upon rack of them displayed in the supermarket was more than a tad bit weird...
Ooops  , I took you a bit too literally. I can certainly see your point now. That is a bit creepy when you consider it's a Walmart and not a gun store. Of course, Walmart always gives me the creeps, guns or no guns. :D

Bah. Whenever I go outside of Montgomery County, MD, the grocery
stores creep me out.

See, in Montgomery County, MD the county government has controlled
the liquor business since the 70s. You want booze, you gotta go to
a county-run store. It's all bullshit.

So I always end up shocked when I leave the county and find entire
fucking aisles in the supermarket devoted to BOOZE.
