Because it is semi realistic. You can get V-1s in 1940 if you concentrate
your research on that. The bitch is, only the US has the industrial power
needed to research everything at once. Germany and the smaller powers
are forced to concentrate on one line of research effectively.

You can't have your type XXIs and V-2s in 1942...no sirree...you have
to pick one or the other....in one example, I got the Bomb as Germany
by 1942, but neglected my military and heavy bomber program, leaving
me with nukes, but no way to deliver them against the red horde
sweeping west

Well, as the glorious USSR that crushed Germany in 1940 while their forces were off farting about in Frnace, I became the most powerful nation on the globe :)

I had MiG-15s in 1944.

TWO folders?

You only need one:

http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rcrierie/ ... 3DFull.zip

The other one is an update for those people who downloaded the
earlier version of my mod, 103C2.....

Anyway, just unzip the zip file into the HoI directory. It has folders
enabled, so it should unzip into the right directories.....then start
up and play the game

And if you have a HoI CD brought in the United States, you don't need
a CD to play

Ted, do you need the CD in the drive with your Canadian version?

What was that about "semi realistic" ? From everything I heard, and more recently seen HOI is less realistic then most Space battles story debates....

Heinkel He 280:

This interesting fighter often goes unnoticed in the annals of flight, eclipsed by its more successful and glamorous brother the Me 262. The He 280 is however, a remarkable aircraft. It was the first jet combat aircraft, the first twin-jet aircraft and the first jet aircraft to go beyond prototype stage.

The He 280 first flew under jet power on April 2, 1941 and eventually eight of these beautiful aircraft were built, but, even after a mock dogfight was arranged between the He 280 and a Fw 190, which the jet won easily, there was little interest in the jet. If the He 280 had ever reached combat, it was most likely to have been armed with three 20mm MG 151 cannons.

What the fuck is your point? It had the same massive engine problems the Me262 had, and was built by Germany, not the Soviet Union.

My point is, it was fucking ready to go in 1941, not
late 1944. HoI allows you to correct many of the
mistakes the germans made that cost them victory in the end, such
as when Hitler cut off ALL research and development following the
1940 victory over france.....

And HoI's timeline extends to 1948....

I'll have to begin badgering Paradox to allow you to set AI resource allocation
in the AI Files....so I can design an event switch for the german AI
that immediately upon conquering france, the german AI cuts all
research to the bare minimums, and concentrates on mostly
grand piano production (Consumer goods) until a decisive defeat
in the USSR (simulated by manpower levels) to represent
Goebbels Total War speech after Stalingrad.

Except I had all of Germany under my control. When you consider the resources/ minds I had at my disposal .... :)

Correction though, I got my MiG-15s in 1946, but I got earlier combat capable jets (better than the Me-262) in 1944.
