Don't the Posleen have some sort of anti-air defense that shoots down anything under power? Does it shoot down flocks of birds in the novels? If not, then the Zerg may have total air superiority during the conflict, which would allow the Zerg to walk (claw? slither?) all over any Posleen invasion force. I understand they have no air power worth mentioning, and instead rely on being able to shoot down everything they see.

Any single one of the starcraft races can handle the posleen. A single lander or C-dec is vulnerable to low KT weapons, a battleglobe is merely a conglomerate of these and isnt inherently stronger than its combined pieces.
Not to mention consistently throughout the books, the posleen heavy(ship mounted) weapons are mentioned to be TJ/TW range weapons. The sole exception being the HVMs, with their velocity of .3c , making them MT yield weapons with any reasonable mass
