Keep in mind, though, that it's not as if the Jordanians are refusing to grant citizenship to the Palestinians - they already granted citizenship to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians decades ago (which is why more than half of all Jordanians are of Palestinian descent), and are now starting to revoke it. That's rather different from the status of Palestinians elsewhere, who largely were not given citizenship and integrated into the country.

It'd be like the US granting citizenship to a bunch of Somali refugees, then, years and decades later, revoking the citizenship of their descendants once Somalia became stable again.
