As with Red, the most recent scifi I read wasn't a new book, it was The War of the Worlds. It's always good to read the classics, and there is something very appealing about the language Well's uses and the way it's written. It has a certain elegance to it that I don't see much in more recent books.
Baltar: "I don't want to miss a moment of the last Battlestar's destruction!"
Centurion: "Sir, I really think you should look at the other Battlestar."
Baltar: "What are you babbling about other...it's impossible!"
Centurion: "No. It is a Battlestar."
