Alexander the Great was gay, but theyre going to make him straight, and introduce a girl, and make it a typical ove story. And I will hate them for it. greeks fucked girls for kids and guys for fun, but everyone here knows theyll fuck this up.

i heard theyre trying to make a new superman movie where sidekick boy (the kid reporter) is going to be gay.. which is wierd.

Personally I think the Alexander the Great movies will not even be half as good as "Reign: The Conqueror." Alexander kicks ASS in that show, day in and day out. Cartoon Network at midnight for those who do not know the golory of Macedonia!

De Laurentis isn't directing, he's producing the Luhrmann version.

Also, with regards to Alexander the Great being gay; it isn't so much that he was homosexual in the sense that we think of it as it is the fact that the ancient Greeks really didn't think about that sort of thing. I should note, koji, that the Luhrmann version at least is going to deal with Alexander's homosexuality.

There is a movie about Hannibal coming out at some point; either Vin Diesel or Denzel Washington will take on the role.

That's the problem, I saw part of R&J and part of Moulin Rouge and they are NOT fantastic in my eyes. Maybe that's why I wear glasses.......

That's not so much true for R+J as long as you've read the play.

I liked Luhrmann's R&J. Could've been a little more faithful to the original drama, though.

But every interpretation of R&J wether it's on stage or film is interpritation, so where it was indeed faithfull (ok not so much for you) it was still how Baz saw it, and if you see plays on R&J they'll all have different slants on it too. Like about 2yrs ago I saw a version of R&J that was set in Shanghai (i cant spell) on a tilted stage. Same as if you make it, it'll probably be diff to.
