And now I remember the pictures of my first-year roomie in drag...guh.
Now, generally, I have no problem with homosexuals. Heck, they aren't hurting me, and, as long as they don't hit on me, I am fine with it. Might not 100% agree with it, but, hey, whatever floats yer boat.

But this drag crap.

There is a difference between being a homosexual and being an insult to your dang sex.

WTF?

What is the point about dressing up like a woman?

All I know is that if my Roomie came in drag one night, I would start locking him out of the dang room...
He just didn't look terribly good in drag...ugh.

I didn't mind that so much, but when he left the boxes for his porn tapes scattered all over the room for anyone who walked by to see...bleah, talk about tasteless.

My mother, of course, upon visiting me one day when he left his collection in plain sight of all on his bookshelf by my desk, laughed and asked if they were mine.

Ever notice how guys who dress up in women's clothes are frowned upon and seen as strange--perverted even--yet when women dress in men's suits and the like, no one bats an eyelash?

Someone told me they thought that was because it was demeaning for men to dress as women because they were dressing down in station, like the master of the house dressing as the servant. :|

That's an odd thought on some people's part.

Mine thought of guys dressing as girls is that men don't lookas good as women, in female clothing, but in general women look better then men in men's clothing.

Girls in boxershorts, now that was a good idea.

My apologies to Marina and IB if this is offensive. I did not say all. I just noticed a huge amount.
You mean real lesbians aren't like the ones in all my porno videos? Dammit. :)

MOST men. I've seen some men wearing women's clothing that women have passed by and gone "bitch", including myself.

My personal opinion is that pants and shirts are fairly unisex. A girl can look good in a pair of jeans and a collered shirt just the same way a man can. However, most guys just don't have the right body for a dress.

I'm guessing it's because of culture. In our culture, "men's" clothing, such as pants, are considered to be more natural on a woman than women's clothes a man.

Actually, if a woman started wearing a codpiece around, I'd be a little disturbed. However, I can proudly say that Scotsmen wear kilts and can look damn good while doing so. :P
Someone told me they thought that was because it was demeaning for men to dress as women because they were dressing down in station, like the master of the house dressing as the servant. :|
I'd say that someone was reading a wee bit too much into it. Personally, I just thought my roomie didn't look good in drag, especially not in the ensamble he chose to wear (fishnets? Eugh...). As Kelly said, some guys can pull it off, I've seen a few who made me do a double take. Other guys...well, not so much so.

I've always felt that a lot of women's fashion is rather stupid myself. Dresses and skirts, for example, strike me as just plain dumb. Sure, a woman can look good in a dress or a skirt, but even loosely fitting jeans can be more attractive than most dress and skirt designs. Besides which, pants make more sense for women to wear. If anything, they're terribly inefficient designs for men, especially when you consider the kilt alternative. :D

Women in pants, men in kilts! WHO'S WITH ME?!
