FFIII (aka VI) and VII are the best as far as I'm concerned. In terms of music (my biggest thing, HUGE Soundtrack fan), III has the best overall soundtrack; I can listen to just about ANY song and enjoy it. VII is similar, though some just annoy me (Shinra INC theme is the BEST EVIL GROUP THEME EVER though). The rest have a few goodies Soundtrack-wise, though overall I'm not too impressed with what I've gotten my hands on for anything but III and VII.

As for gameplay, I kinda like VII's approach to magic the best (though I've only played III, VII, and VIII). You can't superstock in enough time like you could in III with the Espers (except for Master Materia, but that takes a LONG time to get for usual gamers, and besides, only one, or at best, two characters could get all of the Master Materia anyway), and I HATED the GF and draw thing in VIII. In VII, you had to balance it out: pick which spells could fight, which combos you could make (especially with all), and balance it against the lowered HP of your characters so they wouldn't die on you. For me, the best system ever, out of the three FF games I played.

Story, I think VII wins that one too, though III is also quite good. However, VII seemed more unified story-wise to me than did III, plus, it was a bigger story really,a nd I liked the Cloud/Tifa interaction; it had a central theme that it stuck to throughout. Still, been awhile since I played III, so I don't remember the story as a whole (I do remember the Kefka laugh on my SNES though...awlays fun. :D )

Just my thoughts. :)

It wasn't too bad...except for the Drawing Magic bit. I didn't like the GFs much either, but they weren't too bad. However, the Draw system was incredibly ANNOYING IMHO. I just abjectly hated it. I MUCH preferred the Materia system of FFVII.

But, again, just my opinion, and FFIII and VII were FAR better than VIII in my opinion, though I take off HUGE points from VIII because of the Draw system, and I liked III and VII's music MUCH better on an overall scale, which for me is a VERY key point in a game, particulary FF. But you can see all that in my other reply in this Thread.

The most successful Console RPG series of all time. There are ten games. The series has been on the NES, the SNES, the Playstation, and is currently on the Playstation 2.

I like most of them with FF6 being my fave...with FF10 being next.

Though I like FFT better than all of em...making FFTA a definite.

FFIII Question:

How do you get Terra back after the world reforms? Its pissing me off. She was one of my party regulars, and I've been searching for her for so long now that my "replacement" second-tier characters are now as powerful as my regulars. In fact, I don't even remember who the replacement is (I'm using Sabin, Edgar, Celes, and Cyan right now). Anyways, I went to that little pissant town where Terra was, there was some fight with a monster or something and she ran off, and now I can't find her! #&#%&#*(@@!!

After she loses(she always does) return at around when you get the Airship(Setzer's mini mission)

And she should present a boss battle and she will join up afterwards.

Okay when you enter the town...you've already fought Phunbaba?

Okay...with the Airship it triggers the next series of min quest...eith Terra it's basically this

Go into town...talk to her.

Check the house next door, follow Dog downstairs.

Talk to Terra...she refuses

Confront fat one(Phunbaba(

Terra joins mid battle...win and she's back on your party.

I never finished that game, and I have it for the PS1. I may have to pick it up again.

Only if you count games like Mystic Quest, Adventure, and Legend. Which are not actual Final Fantasy games.

Also: FF4= :D

Well, my philosophy is that if it has FF in the title, it's an FF game. Which could sort of also include Chrono Trigger (FF Chronicles).

Yeah, it was pretty good. Could have been a little more polished, but still very good. I should pick up the hardtype one day...is the FF Chronology version hardtype or easytype?

One of the gameboy FF games was a retitled version of Seiken Densetsu II, whose prequel was known as Secret of Mana in the US. All they did was change some names and such becasue they knew poeple like you would be convinced it was an FF game. :P

Oh, and Seiken Densetsu III kicks ass, go find a ROM of it.

There are more than ten even without counting those. I-X, X-2 and Tactics. That's twelve, and XI, Crystal Chronicles and Tactics Advance will be released soon enough.

Darth Utsanomiko: YES...another SD3 fan...*sniff*

I still have not yet done my duty as a SquareSoft fan and played through SD3.

Even worse, I abstained from purchasing Kingdom Hearts when it came out, opting instead for GTA: Vice City. I feel like I've sold out my heritage.

I've played FF1, FF2, FF4, FF7, FFTactics, and FF10. 7 is my favorite, since Sephiroth is quite possibly the most badass villain I've ever seen

I love the music from 4, especially the intro and "The Dark Messanger".
