Hmmm, interesting. That reminds me of my own rule, to pay very, very close attention to how my date treats someone who is waiting on us--a waiter, a store clerk, a postal worker. Truly nice people are curteous and polite to people who work in some sort of service area.

Or like me, having been at different times a dishwasher, assistant cook, a waiter, and a road construction worker (to pay for university), just knows what its like and knows that these are people not delivery tools.
People who get angry at the waiter/clerk/whatever for something that the restaurant/store/whatever did just irk me.
Although personally, I might be a little off on a date just because I'm somewhat nervous, and tend to be thinking about something completely different, and might forget to be as cuteous as I should be.
