That and Anakin probably had a snowflake in hell's chance of learning Windu's whole channeling-the-Darkside Vaapid thing (or what ever it's called) without turning.
Hell, isn't Windu the only person to ever learn the style without turning? Out of like, only three people who ever learneded it?
And yeah, his relationship with Ani would have been horrid.

Cool EU garbage, but EU garbage non the less.
It is an interesting question and one that I think deserves it's own thread... to the Batcave!

If the "shroud of the darkside" was clouding everybody, why did Obi-Wan say in TPM "the boy is dangerous, they all sense it, why can't you?"
Last time I watched Ep. 1 was around New Years, but I think that's accurate.
It does feel a bit like "nobody bothered to keep track of things" in the time between movies. EU, blah, blah, blah, most of the time it wasn't even written yet, was ignored anyway, or raised more problems than it answered.
I guess we're meant to think that they're very naive and foolish, which makes me wonder how they lasted so long as such an elite organization. And I don't buy that they just got that way in the last couple of years. Yoda has been with them for centuries... or maybe he's gone senile already by the time the movies start?
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee JKA Server 2024
They were referring specifically to their ability to use the Force to see possible future events and then analyze those events and present possibilities and suggestions of action to the Senate which I am assuming were mostly correct.
They could sense that Anakin had a dangerous possible future, but they couldn't be sure. Qui-Gon certainly sensed it too, but he had faith in his abilities to keep Anakin on the correct path. Remember, arrogance was practically a disease that infested the Jedi and their views and estimations of their own abilities and powers. Qui-Gon, even if proven right, was not immune to this.
