The poison is tasteless - the bait it is mixed into is designed to be tasty so the vermin eat it.

Mix it in with yummy human food and folks won't know they're eating poison. It's also fairly fast-acting. The good news is that the antidote is simply a lot of vitamin K, but doctors have to recognize the poison before they'll know to administer the antidote.

Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. I originally wanted to ask what kind of bait would seem tasty to both vermin and humans, but given the things children are willing to eat out of curiosity or to just prove a point I think I'll have to withdraw the question.
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'
'You know, for a guy with like 50 different kinds of vision, you sure are blind.'

Also, vermin like to eat things that are sugary, fatty, and otherwise tasty to... basically all vertebrate lifeforms. Just because they will eat carrion or whatever doesn't mean that's their favorite food.

Stop using that word. The girl was fourteen. Try "institutionalized rape".
Pedophilia is the correct term to use for someone who engages in sex with an underage woman. Would you prefer pervert instead?
Actually I think rapist or sex offender would be the more accurate term since you are describing a criminal act, rather than the attraction per se. Paedophilia refers to the attraction to pre-pubescents. Attraction to a girl of this age (adolescence) would be called ephebophilia. The groom was still a douchebag though.

Its the same as the drug warfarin which we use to treat atrial fibrillation, thromboembolisms (ie blood clots) and given to people with metallic valves to prevent clot formation. Never tasted it myself, but according to wiki its pretty tasteless. Interestingly rats are starting to develop resistance to it, and we now use "super warfarins". One of them coumatetrlyl still requires at least 1-2 days in the bloodstream before becoming fatal (ie one dosing most probably won't kill a person), while the other brodifacoum may be the culprit in this case as wiki says it has a long half life.

I suppose that depends on the dose, because in my experience warfarin takes a while to work. At least at conservative doses prescribed. And even when they are coagulopathic quite beyond therapeutic ranges, we don't necessarily need to reverse it. Just stop the drug and let it be metabolised out. But if you do need to reverse it quickly, you can also used fresh frozen plasma or prothrombinex.

Warfarin is an excellent example of the old saying "the poison is in the dose" - one quantity of the drug is life-extending or life-saving, another is used for deliberate killing.

The poison could also be arsenic, which is tasteless and also used in rat poison.
