The cost of crafting resources at the garrison trading post just got stupidly expensive - jumping from 8 resources to 24, for example. That's a pisser...
That's post-patch? What a crock of shit. I just demoed my Lumber Mills after all the guides were saying to do it first. Sumptuous fur is a mother-fucker to farm and stupid expensive on my realm. So on my two "mains," I built Posts to feed fur to my tailor for bags. There's no reason they couldn't have made the currency change linked to if you already have a level 100 because that's just screwing anyone coming in late.

Whatever, it's still working, but man it gets old having to deal with Blizzard trying to fix their own inflation when you didn't dive in at launch.

And this 10-to-1 conversion on skinning. Ugh, whatever. I just want the fucking mount.

"Cmon Bro, but you gots a talents that makes you a really shitty version of another spec." Honestly, can't stand 3 of the Druid specs but Resto is balls-out fun. Though a lot of that fun did get axed recently.
One of my characters is a Guardian Druid, and the best thing about the character was that I could do whatever I liked, without respecs. Even at level 20 the character was a tank, a highly mobile stealth DPS, and a ranged caster with a bit of healing, all in one. Now I have one spell in human form (moonfire) and one ability in cat form (stealth), because Blizzard hates fun.

And my Marksman hunter's rotation is now '2'. Aimed Shot is completely worthless in all circumstances, when it used to be a great opener to OHK same-level mobs, so now you just keep hitting Arcane Shot until Marked Shot lights up, then go back to Arcane Shot.

Yay! My AH panther mount sold! Between that and a few other things I cleared over 21,000 gold in profit yesterday (42k gross, but I deduct the cost of making the mount).

Wish I could make money like that in real life...

I played a Dragoon in FFXIV, so I'm not adverse to dealing with 10+ keybinds to do my job, but I have to say that there is no class nearly as intimidating to deal with than a Druid. Each spec, by design (even more so when they actually broke out melee DPS and Tanking) has a lot of bleed over. Your bar is filled to the brim with useful abilities. This makes them very hard to balance and would scare away new players. Kitty is like a psychotic rogue. Boomkin is some kind of magical see-saw and bear tanks were just funky.

Their mass-utility also made them hated in PvP. They remove all roots and snares constantly. They regen health constantly. They fight what little burst you could lay on them by going bear. They go kitty to stack a few bleeds, and moon tickle you to death while prancing away in multiple forms. I hated fighting them in PvP and I loved "fighting" as Resto because then I was the asshole tormenting them all. Sure, HPals could face-tank you and heal. Resto Shammies could power heal and run. But Druids could do fucking EVERYTHING and the Worgen Male laugh (as much as I regret rolling Worgen) is only surpassed in it's mockery and annoyance by the Belf Female.

But that utility didn't exactly make them Gods of PvE, so I still don't understand why Blizz won't remove/add abilities just for PvP (and yes, I know they're adding PvP talents to Legion). And from looking at my Druid during respec, they seem to be the class hit the least hard by the Delete key. I would blame PvP for most of it and the Class Fantasy and Legion Prune was just Blizzard having the excuse to do what they've wanted to for years.

I still don't get why they took my presences and Righteous Fury, but gave DPS classes capable of tanking Taunts back as baseline. What the fuck? At least Death Grip is Tranquil by base for non-blood. Like I said, there ARE good changes here. But they are marred by a lot of just "well, this ability wasn't being used as baseline: CUT IT."

But even then, they just do weird shit like with Death Strike. It's useless until you kill something. Then you use it for a heal. If you're talking about "Class Fantasitasy," that shit doesn't fit with Frost.
And my Marksman hunter's rotation is now '2'. Aimed Shot is completely worthless in all circumstances, when it used to be a great opener to OHK same-level mobs, so now you just keep hitting Arcane Shot until Marked Shot lights up, then go back to Arcane Shot.
Yea, it's pretty much every class/spec I play now. Frost Mage, Ret Pally, Fury Warrior. I knocked Frost DK, but as easy as the "rotation" is, you still have two resource pools to manage so I actually find myself fucking it up more than anything because the other classes off-abilties are "only use when shiny" while DK is "is even better to use when shiny."

And the new cast animations are YAAAAAAWN. But new melee animations are boss. Calling down Concecration is like body slamming the Earth with the POWER OF THE LIGHT! Same with Heroic Leap. It's lik "Fuck you ground! I walk on you, now I stomp on you with my feet AND MY HUUUUGE WEAPONS!" The new effects for Glyph of Burning Rage means the same thing, except ON FIRE!

This Pre-patch really highlights just how damn dated and ugly a lot of the old effects and animations were for WoW. The model updates were hit and miss, but I can find nothing that isn't an improvement over the old stuff. My only complaint is that there weren't MORE improvements, such as Blizzard needing to redo what goes on with the off-hand for dual-wield classes that aren't Rogues.

there's new cast animations?! I thought it was just some new effects for spells and some old animations you had since vanilla for the casting itself.

Could be. But I quit at the end of MoP before the model updates. My mage casts spells differently this time around, or at least I'm pretty sure she does. Same with my "casts" on use trinkets etc for my Nelf. My Worgen still does his stupid "raise the motherfucking roof" bullshit.

I'm not very versed with casters, so these may just be more recycled animations unlike the new stuff added for melee.

Hit 100. 5000 gold for a level 3 garrison. Holy shit, I also have no resources now. I think I figured out how to not make a Frost DK suck wind with DPS: switch to Unholy. But I hate pets, so..... he might get totally shelved. Timewalking dungeons at least got me geared enough to do LFR. I accidentally queued for Archie. Downed him in 3 wipes, so... yea. Did some other LFR runs to keep my head down and get lost in the pack. Every LFR fight is "kill adds, don't stand in bad." At least MoP had mechanics.

This is all the dungeons we got? Man, thank god blizzard can lean on old content and Diablo style tiers of normal > Heroic > Mythic to make people FEEL like they are doing new content. Hilariously, I'm running with people who've never done WotLK dungeons. It's insane: I'm the old-hat guy in a lot of these dungeons. With normalized gear, they are actually quite difficult, at least in the vein of tanks having to tank and healer having to heal.

Question: where the fuck is Garrosh? I know I leveled quick, so the only zone I was able to finish out was Shadowmoon, but I've literally heard nothing about him. If I didn't know he was the catalyst for the Iron Horde from hype videos, I'd have no idea. There's not a single reference to him at all. How do I view the scene of Thrall kill stealing me once again? The cutscene looked like it was from Nagrand, so I quest there? I fucking can't. The CRZ has gone batshit crazy in that zone. I've got dipshit Horde from every fucking server ever swooping down from motherfucking everywhere. Hunters are aim shotting me at the draw distance for 85k.

I absolutely despise CRZ and any asshole at Blizzard who still, after this many years, thinks it's a good idea. Their new phasing bullshit is not loading correctly, leaving me "loading" forever. I still fight people I will never meet for resources. Capital cities are a cluster fuck and even non-PvP zones always have an opposing faction guy slaughtering low-level quest givers.

This is Blizzards last hold-out on woefully outdated mechanics: having world PvP with this cross-shard bullshit. At the least, you should be able to opt out of CRZ, but then Blizzard would have overwhelming proof of how much it is hated because everyone who could use it would.

I finally tried out my frost DK. It is the most idiotic rotation ever, I can't believe they removed plague leach and blood tap, those were some amazing talents, it at least added some serious flavor to your rotation, ok, this rotation I only have two active runes, so hit blood tap. This time through I've got the one minute cool down plague spread thing up, so plague leach for two more runes. It wasn't too bad to manage even without weakAuras to show you your timers. The current frostDK has nothing like that, very stale.

Pit of whatever is really nasty, 3 wipes last time I played it. BC and Cata seem much easier on timewalking

Yeah that's where the quest that kills him is. Go to Telaar outpost, there's probably 12 quests that get you to Garrosh. 4 or 5 from the outpost, 4 or 5 in ring of trials (pretty much the fighting ladder I think) 2 or 3 at Haal'avor, and something where you solid snake your way through the ogre dig in the South East corner of the map.
I fucking can't. The CRZ has gone batshit crazy in that zone. I've got dipshit Horde from every fucking server ever swooping down from motherfucking everywhere. Hunters are aim shotting me at the draw distance for 85k.
CRZ is a plague, I'm just a PvE server, so I dodge most of it, but every time I level someone up through BC Hellfire Peninsula has an unending series of announcements of the faction hubs being attacked, favorite targets are flight paths and quest givers.

Ditto, what's hilarious is to wander around while questing and have some random mobs you need to kill randomly vanish to be replaced by corpses, or have your nodes vanish with no indication as to why. Whoops must have phased. It's just a hail-mary to try and fix overcrowded servers, and underpopulated realms without offering free-transfers or doing intelligent server merges.

I picked up like 20% more DPS failing my way through Unholy. I love the Icy Veins write-up

Frost:
Weak single target damage
Lacking AoE burst damage
Weak defensive toolkit compared to Unholy
Lacks Unholy's passive movement speed bonus
Nothing unique that it can bring to help the raid

Unholy: We cannot currently think of any weaknesses for Unholy Death Knights

I see Frost being garbage from here on out. It started when they wanted Unholy to be the Haste king and did everything they could to break it for Frost. Frost just gets the left-overs. When you're forced to stack Crit on a class that relies on auto-crits: you know it's really bad. It's been that way for years, but at least at high-gear levels you become a cleave machine. But now with Howling Blarg DOA: you're fucking useless.

Pit of Saron has actual mechanics you have to follow because you can't lean on geared healers like we did in LK. I love watching people take Garfrost up to like eleventy-billion stacks. I about went blind farming those dungeons for Justice back in WotLK so any group I'm with, we do ok. However, most of this is on the healers because tanks get hit hard, even using mitigation and healers need to learn to be proactive, such as already having a heal inbound and be ready to stop cast if need-be.
Yeah that's where the quest that kills him is. So wait, he just SHOWS UP? And is like all "hohohoho, surprise! I'm behind it all.... even though if you watched anything about the expansion pre-release: you already know all this."? Nagrand is the last zone for pre-100. Sweet salty Christ.

Holy shit man. I knocked WoD without playing it. But it deserves all the ire it gets. I haven't run into a single decent questline yet. It's all bear-ass questing and buildin' muh gurrison. MoP had multiple decent quest-lines. ToT just for one. The only good part is Dran females have nice asses compared to Pandas.

To be fair, "Honor Hold is under Attack" has always been a gank-fest, even before CRZ. PvE: all your shit will be dead all the time. Since that used to be the only place to train BC flying, the trainer met a grisly end constantly. PvP: You'd have that AND you'd see shadows from overhead constantly and you'd die horribly not soon after. It was so bad on Kil-Jaeden, you'd have Horde fighting over who got the kill. As for my own faction, there were tons of arguments in chat about "quit jacking my ganks <insert your choice of racial/sexual slur here>."

I've been on the same server, in the same guild, and even in the group with friends and they haven't been visible. The instancing is fucking weird now. I can be in Dal and invite my buddy who is in Stormwind.... and I'll phase to a new shard (or whatever). It is some clown-shoes levels programming.

Pretty much. I finished all the zone quest lines over multiple play throughs, and he's not mentioned til you finish off 3 or 4 questlines in Nagrand. If you are able to do the Legendary quest there's a few quests that indicate how the whole thing happened (rogue bronze dragonflight dragon or something). Also the reason everyone complains about Thrall kill stealing is that at moderate gear levels you can totally kill Garrosh yourself, most classes have sufficient sustain to do it, he's only 1 or 2 million, and his mechanics are simple enough to figure out (especially since they give you a pocket healer in Yrel). Personally I think the Garrosh thing illustrates how much Bliz is packed full of hacks. Important lines, character motivation, whatever can apparently only be delivered by Bliz in cutscenes with dramatic music background. There's no reason they couldn't have had thrall healing and assisting you against Garrosh and dialoging him the entire time, same information delivery, you're just an active participant. And if you save all your cooldowns and gear up really well you can kill off Garrosh before thrall gets closure <sigh> missed opportunities.

Garrosh isn't unique, I don't know if you paid any attention to the run-up to WoD, they had all this episodic youtube crap introducing the "Warlords" who would be large parts of the campaign/story whatever. Ner'zhul and Kargath were some, Ner'zhul makes an appearance in shadowmoon for 10 quests and then dies in a dungeon, massively underwhelming. Kargath shows up briefly in the initial chain-mission intro, and then he makes an appearance at the end of the spires of Arak campaign. But there's no indication why he's so important, just that he needs to die. And then he's the first boss to die in the Highmaul raid. If there were a one word epigraph for WoD it would by overhyped.

I don't remember if they already took out the Legendary quest, but it feels like the whole story is built around that once you reach 100. That and raiding tie the whole story together, when I quit raiding I sort of lost the plot until I caught up with the legendary ring quest (personally I think how tied everything is to the garrison is stupid). If I resubscribe and level through stuff, I'm going to feel no attachment to WoD. When I level through BC, or Wotlk, I always linger at 70, or 80 to do some of my favorite zones, but there's nothing fun in WoD that I want to re-experience.

No Kidding. I figured it would be us knocking Garrosh off early on, then dealing with the Iron Horde. Except we're thrown into a "The Horde?!?!? are coming through. BLOW up the gate. Now do things. Why is Draenor differen... shut up AND COLLECT BEAR ASSES!" Nothing is explained at any point. I'm stopping Nerzhul from blowing up.... whatever, but no one is even talking about how, where, or when we are. Blizz wonders why no one reads their quests: it's not because people don't want to read (fucking Harry Potter alone showed how dumb that idea was). It's that we don't want to read non-important bullshit.

I have literally no idea what is going on in this expansion. It's just "do things." I came in late to Pandss. Like a week before SoO hit. So, I'm later than that, but not that late. I took my time to 100 in Pandas and there was more than enough to know what was going on. But WoD? Nothing. Not a fucking thing.

They need to bring Scenarios back as well. That helped with Pandas. Getting those short stories. BUT YOU CAN'T FILL LFR QUEUES THAT WAY.

It's probably gone. If not, don't care. Grinded two cloaks, never doing that again. Even so, the legendary cloak quest focusing on Wrathion, who was very outside the meat of the MoP storyline. Blizzard has really just completely pulled the RP out of their game. I know it's been going that way for a while, but this expansion is awful.

Man, I'd take Cata over this. This expansion is bad. Sadly, the Garrison is the coolest part I've run into. I haven't had to sit in mine for 14 months though, but it looks cool. I like having my mounts in the stables, my pets in the pet area, my followers hanging out, etc. It IS better than just hanging around the Shrine/Capital, even if it's mostly a shitty facebook game.

Sidenote: For Legion, I heard Locks get the Eredar Twins for followers.HNNNNNNGG! TIME TO LEVEL MY LOCK!
But DKs get Thassarian and Pallies get Lady Liadrin. I dunno man, who gets Lorethemar? He ain't doing shit these days.

Wait, is he in WoD anywhere? Stole the show in Pandas. Captain Eyepatch should be leading the charge against everything.

It's not really the DPS that bothers me so much as how shallow everything is getting. Plague Leach and Blood Tap were finicky talents, pull them off wrong and you do worse than the other stuff on the tier (small percentage chance for auto rune regeneration or higher crit chance I think?) But they were cool talents that altered your rotation pretty much for the entire fight. As Frost in WoD I used regularly about 6 abilities to make sure I was always charging at least 1 rune of each type, then you had to tap judiciously if you ever exhausted all of one type of rune, or if you get an obliterate proc, you tap, or plague leach, then you juggle your blood charges, and runic power to make sure you don't overstack any of them, it was very dynamic and pulling it off was fun. There's none of that left, to be fair the 3 different rune types was probably over complicated, using blood tap, and careful management pretty much everything would be a death rune (wild card rune) eventually anyway. But in inimitable Blizz fashion they over-reacted to the complication of DK's rotations.

There's this essay I remember from back in Cata asking "Where have all the Warlocks gone?" Basically through multiple patches Bliz had nerfed the Warlock to parity, and people quit playing it because the payoff for the complicated Warlock rotation was the fact that you topped DPS charts, and it wasn't worth the aggravation anymore. For me a lot of the pay-off was doing something complicated and doing it well, but none of the spec's I've tried (6 100's i'm trying out) have anything interesting at all. Monk and Shammy healer are at least playable for me, they have enough tools in their tool box to offer interesting choices when healing. Unfortunately most of the DPS classes I've played have felt idiotic One or two resource generating buttons, and then one or two resource spending buttons, rinse repeat total time to work through the feels like it's less than 30 seconds. The only thing that stretches it any longer is your minute+ cooldowns.

Wasn't Frost DK pretty strong early expansion (like they always are)? I hadn't dealt with a complicated Frost rotation since Mid-Cata when Haste Frost was a thing. You better hit buttons fast and never waste a KM proc or you could watch your DPS drop 20%. Man that was a fun time.

At the end of Pandas, wasting a CD on anything but Howling Blarg or Frost Strike (with BT macroed to it) was a DPS loss and only happened once in a blue moon. At about 560? ilvl, maybe lower, you pulled OB and Soul Reaper off your bar completely. Blood Plague was such garbage you only reapplied it with Outbreak and/or on the off-chance you had no RP and non-unholy runes available. The "rotation" was even dumber than what we have now.

Supposedly, marcoing BT to FS was a loss, but I never saw better numbers handling it manually and no other Frost DK got near my numbers unless they were flat-out just better geared than I was. Oh man, I used to get called a shitter in pubs all the time. You know, up until boss fight time. Out DPSing hunters on Thok was hilarity.

I've been losing more and more desire to play DK for years. I miss 2h Frost because it made sense. DW never fit: they are the slow power-clubbers, why are they dual-wielding? Seems like a haste Unholy thing. I should be slamming people with a 2h sword because the DW OB and Frost Strike animations look dumb. So does Frost Scythe. Not as dumb as Haste Frost.... but pretty dumb. I've got a Pally Tank and I love him. Unholy is pets and an ugly one at that.

I think Frost DKs are finally dead buddy. We should pour one out for them.

For the Lock comments, reminds me of Pandas Retadins. You worked your ass off with the priority system for mediocre numbers. I had a warforged normal-mode weapon, tons of haste from my tank set, and a 4-piece set of Ret gear, and was lucky to break 180k. I never thought I'd praise the GCD haste cap, but I did because god damn it got intense. I did more reading to find out what I was doing wrong: nope, Ret just sucked if Wings weren't up. I was going to main Ret after my DK became a snooze-fest, but we had Garrosh on the farm and my raid lead wasn't happy about losing all that cleave damage.

Demon Hunters are available August 9th if you've pre-ordered. They start at level 98. So, three weeks to level to 100? Not saying they should start at 55 or anything, but that seems like a weird level to start them out. DKs started 15 levels below current content and those at max level were shitters for quite a while. I remember how painful hitting BC dungeons was when leveling a non-tank because you started running into DKs.

This was a big problem back when all specs were viable DK tanks. It got a bit better after the class was normalized, but bad DK tanks are only outstripped in their awfulness by bad bear tanks due to class mechanics. Back then, a bad DK tank might not even be a tank at all.

Got my shipyard up. It's..... I see why people were so pissed about the addition. It's nothing new except the time/gold/resource sink of swapping perks and losing ships. I'm doing what missions I can to get more resources and gear, but I've gone back to dumping all my excess supplies into the workshop because I want all those transmogs. The Thunderlord Leather set is pretty awesome. The rest is terrible except the Stormwind set that I'm also working on, so I see no issues getting what I want before expansion hits.

Timeless Idle 2.0 is a clusterfuck with CRZ. It's just terrible.

Legion pre-patch (first part) went live yesterday.

Sexy Demon Hunters. Start at 98. You're 100 before you leave the starting area. You can jump right into LFR (my Demon Hunter is better geared than my DK). Like full, 680-700 gear. The play-style is rather fun. Seems like they are also the reason for a lot of pruning of other classes, to make DHs feel more badass.

Capitol Cities are now dealing with players hearing whispers from the legion. It is relatively fun. Invasions are in effect.
SPOILERS AHEAD:

Thrall chumps out and gets spanked. Vol'jin goes out like a bitch (which is no surprise). Sylvy, in true asshole mode, just calls a retreat and bails, rather than performing a fighting retreat. This leads to the Alliance getting fucked because their flank falls, even though it makes no sense visually. King Chin is forced to go all super-badass, then goes down to 2-3 mobs we'll kill by the hundreds in Legion. Gul'dan gives a few mwa-ha-ha's and continues to be the cartoon villain.

Guldan also gets into the Ilidari prison with help, then transports in and out like it's no big deal because plot reasons.

Supposedly, the Legion can hide and port in dozens of Doomguards into Stormwind keep. They do this while ALL the faction leads are there and will never try this when maybe just Anduin is there with 1-2 body guards. While visually entertaining, this is some very bad writing.

END SPOILERS

Other note: after messing around with some more classes after the patch, Ret is a fucking joke. The "Class Fantasy" back in MoP was they were supposed to be a "run you down" class, focused on mobility and removing roots and snares to close distance. This... never fucking worked well, but either way: I can't think of a single-class (melee or ranged) that has as little mobility as Ret does. They have literally zero mobility cooldowns, only Hand of Freedom, terrible damage, and little to no uptime.

DK players tell Blizzard: "We need a bit more mobility, we can't get hands on a target." Blizzard swoops to the rescue by removing Death's Advance, the passive movement bonus of Unholy, and reducing the cooldown of the shittiest of the shitty "Wraith Walk" by 15 seconds. Blizzard really understanding the needs of it's players.

"We wanted Frost to feel strong when you were on target." Ok, A: you can't get on target as Frost. and they have zero viable ranged hitters now. B. There is nothing about Frost that feels strong. Making a class whose Mastery affects FROST DAMAGE, rely on an ability that does purely PHYSICAL DAMAGE is hilariously bad balancing and whoever thought it up is a moron. To be fair, this has been their plan for years, but the players fought it because other ways were viable. The changes to Howling Blarg ensures that will not be a thing ever again.

Unholy, at least in PvE, is much more balanced and fun. Failing my way through the rotation in Unholy vs doing a perfect run as Frost means I do 2.5 times MORE damage as Unholy. Oh yea, and I don't die as much due to talents.

Bubblehearth still works, at least for the Garrison Stone. So, Mannoroth gankers can continue to eat shit.

I learned that equally geared Unholy vs Blood is a terrible fight. Some Unholy DK gave me both barrels in Arak. Valkyre, Abomination, a bunch of Skettis NPCs, the whole nine-yards. I took it to the face, opened back up and had him down to 30% before I even dropped to 90%. Then my Death Strike hit topped me back off. He expired shortly after that when he tried to run.

I got to try a room-mate's DH yesterday, they have ridiculous amounts of mobility, and quick enough cooldowns that it seems worthwhile to use their mobility choices as rage generators (furious retreat can be talented to like 20 seconds or something provided it damages an enemy, then dash in and damage the same enemy again, quick 40 ish fury generated). I'm wondering if their mobility choices for other classes are to make a clear contrast with the DH's natural mobility.

While I miss some of the abilities I used in the beta, live DH is a blast still the mobility is amazing and for a leather DPS their durability isn't half bad either, the problem I've had with rogues and to a degree windwalker monks is that if my CCs or defensive cooldowns are not avaible I'm kind of weak, demon hunters don't seem to have that issues when fighting multiple mobs as each death gives you a rather sizeble heal.

Rogues on demand Bust of Speed is gone likely due to this. They now have a single-sprint. I doubt Nightstalker can compete with the other talents in it's tree. Outlaw is now the mobility spec which seems dumb to me.

I've been looking for an excuse to shelve my rogue forever. I have one for PvP and Alchemy, but never really use her since the nerf to DKs during Cata. With that patch as a Frost DK, I could Icebound Fortitude a Rogue's Cheap Shot and even if they still wasted a Kidney Shot after that, they would flat out win. With defensive up, I would lose over 50% of my HP after the first finisher.

So, I jumped to my rogue to make sure I wasn't just bad at the game (they were heavily buffed at the same time). Dieing in some BGs for a while, I got my weapons. After that, I could stand in front of an Unholy or Frost DK with recuperate and Slice and Dice up and nearly auto-attack my way to victory. Unholy just meant I threw a Blind at the pet. It was hilariously sad. The only spec in MoP that was any fun in PvE was Subt and it was bursty as Hell and the tolerances for good DPS were very tight. Conversely, Mut and Combat were nearly as brain dead as Frost DK and only combat offered the cleaves Frost did and managed to be even more boring.

Demon Hunter, obviously stealth aside, is everything a Rogue should be and much for fun to boot. Also, it can tank, so leveling will not be a chore. Either with the instant queues of dungeons, nor dealing with multiple mobs (even DPS DH is miles above Rogue in this regard). No more picking out Wanted targets, stealthing to them, and burning them down before they burn me down.

At the least, my choices for a "main" are much larger and more interesting than they have been. Since I've finally decided to stick with a tank class, it's looking like I'm going Warrior or DH, with my DK as a distant third option since blood and Unholy are still very viable. Nothing about Paladins feel right so far, though I admit I've never messed with Holy. If I were to go that route, I would run my Shammy Sham anyway.

Too bad I can't stand Monks.

I'm anticipating with the new DH that there will actually be a glut of tanks for once. When I've tried healing I've found about half of the specs to be boring/brain dead (too few tools to make interesting choices) with priests being my least favorite. If my opinion is out of step with everyone else, then good, there won't be a healer shortage, but if I'm not alone in my view, I think you want to dust off a class that can heal for your insta-queue.

problem with DH probably be the same as with DKs and Monks that there will a glut of weak and incompetent tanks who think "pull more" is the only thing you need for a tank, though I suspect that fact the DH was released now for the pre-purchase people means the guys looking for the "I-win button" class will desert the DH after it becomes clear that even with DH there's still something you need to do.

It's possible, but this makes 3 classes released since WotLK that can tank and there's generally a glut of tanks while it's fresh, then they all go back to wanting that padded DPS meter, lack of responsibility, and ability to tunnel on the boss at the detriment of the party/raid. Monk is very underrepresented in the playerbase already. It really was a fad class. Demon Hunters will likely have a lot more longevity considering, like DKs, they start at a higher level. But I see the playerbase diving back into DPS once they have to deal with at content level gear and have to hit buttons in response to mechanics, not cooldowns.

It doesn't help that there's no class capable of healing that currently has other specs I find myself drawn to. They will likely fix Paladins at some point, so that's always an option although I've never liked Holy's healing and even though Ele Shammies are fun, I doubt I would main it even if I wasn't adverse to ranged classes. Enhancement doesn't do it for me.

The other two classes, aside from Pally, that are up my ally for Tank/Heal/DPS: Druid and Monk are so far outside my enjoyment zone. I don't even know why I dislike Monk so much, I just do. The constant bear grunting is what turned me off to Druid Tanking.

I'm probably just talking shit though, there's almost no way I'd shelve my Argent Charger. I'm still fighting for a good T-mog for Prot that doesn't look cliche though. What I currently worked out looks good to me, but has way too much of a warrior vibe. I use Judgement for Ret though, that's a given.

For a Prot transmog, for the longest time I went with Judgement set minus the helm (I was a dwarf, and there were frequent problems with the beard clipping through a closed helm; maybe it's fixed now). I don't know why but the Judgement helm just looks dumb to me, so I chose the Lightbringer helm ( a floaty golden crown), I've also considered the helm of power (from the 10th anniversary Moltencore LFR). There's two other plate sets that look pretty good to me. The White Tiger tier set from Heart of Fear-Terrace of Endless spring, and the felforged one you can get for the legion invasion, there's a bonus in that the armor sets you pick up on the invasions are 700 and upgradable.

Personally I go for a downplayed set based around the SW guard set for my Pally, haven't though of a Prot set yet but generally I go for a simplier look as it seems to fit the paladin theme (or at least the theme I'm doing for with my char) better, of the truly noble and humble servant of the Light not a some punk who got to be knight be his/her daddy was duke, baron or lord of something and therefore must wear the most flashy armor possible to show just how much of spoiled brat (s)he is.
