Well, if they insist on a list then they can start with the over use of antibiotics and drugs over the past 30 years by doctors around the world, the growth of trade between nations especially the boosts in air travel over the last 60 years, explorers finding new and rare species of animal and plant and people populating more and more land with other organisms around. Top it all off with the incompetence of the Chinese gov't to understand that viruses don't play nice in one of the most populated parts of the world. I think the Fundamentalists are trying to make up for the fact that they didn't all dissapear back in 1999, so that their prophicies would be right. I work with someone who is absolutly convinced that he will physically "dissapear" and lead leave the rest of us for the "tribulations". These folks see any war or disease as justification for their beliefs. Hell if pat Robertson added a new graphic to his TV show that gave people fatal siezures they would say it was just the Rapture acting out....
