Well back in 98 the combination of Paul Kariya and Temmu(sp?) Selanne was feared and indeed it was around that time when the Ducks finished fourth in the Western Conference and defeated Phoenix in the first round of the playoffs. It was a great year that ended dismally during a sweep to Detroit, who oddly enough had ended the Ducks two previous playoff runs with sweeps.
