Shinova wrote:Dont have a FTP program installed yet so cant post desktop. My systems specs, however:
Windows comes with one via the command line, and you can use IE as well to have a graphical interface. The syntax is
ftp://user@site.com/, and it should prompt you for a password if neccessary.

I hate the GNOME desktop. Though the last version I used was 1 point something from RH 7.1. KDE was better. Though since my sister practically owns the computer, I can only use linux on my older computer, with only a window manager and no desktop. Just nuked it so I could install LFS w/ devfs + PAM though.

Good ftp programs are NCFTP(command line) and FTP Explorer. For some reason NCFTP seems to not work when connecting to ProHosting.

I figured that it would be rude to post a 24-bit PNG image...

KDE is too slow, GNOME runs faster. I have KDE 3.1 and Gnome 2.2.1 on my box at the moment.

GNOME is faster? It seemed bloated compared to KDE, though I have been using an old version. However I've heard that Nautilus is extremely bloated.
