I just remembered, Will Wright sat down in front of me at a BattleBots competition. He was talking to his brother about their robot and the match they had.

If you're going by character names, then he could also be Indiana Jones.

At any rate, I've run into both Tom Hanks and Robin Williams. Shook hands and said hi to Hanks, didn't have the chance to say anything to Williams.

Let's see :
All the members of R.E.M., via a vacation with my Aunt who lived in Atlanta and knew them from when they were just a struggling college band in Athens. Michael Stipe is very quiet, but fun to talk to.

Jolly Blackburn of 'Knights of the Dinner Table' fame
Quiet giant of a man , but a true gamer once you get him going.

Steve Jackson - Actually played my Bavarian Illuminati vrs his Network Deck, nearly had him till he got two freaking 'Infobahns' out.......goddamed lucky draw!

and
Gary Gyax of DnD fame. Normally he has about a hundred psychophants around him , but I met him at a Chessex Trade show when I informally worked for a local hobby shop, very cool fellow. We played a demo of "Battlfield' from Easy Eight Games which is a WWII minis game. The old bastard managed to shoot my PZIV H out from under me with one shot, hit the only location that would cause a goddamned fuel fire on the whole bloody tank......but I still had a good time.

Lessee...

I got drunk with David Horowitz at a party at a local Republican activist's house in King of Prussia.

Met Charleton Heston when he came to our school to speak. Ah, Valentine's Day 2000...rain, protesters, a jam packed auditorium, and really fantastic sex with my girlfriend later. Good times, good times.

Met Congressman Rob Andrews (D, 1st NJ).

And my family is friends with Monica Malpass, a local TV news anchor (alright, she's local, but she's A-list local).

I've met dozens, mainly at my cottage. Any of you know of Millionaires Row on Lake Muskoka?

I've talked to Kate Hudson several times, as well as her ffamily.

I almost met the Queen and Prince Phillip. I saw them, but was a little too far back in the crowd to talk, my sister had tea at the palace though.

Harrison Ford I've met, um, I'm forgetting them, met a Greek actress, whose name I can't spell, in Greece. Talked to her through GF.

Whenever I see the crowds that accompany the appearance of celebrities, I walk the other way. I have no interest in celebrities.

I'm not a fanwhore of celebs either.

The time I ran into Robin Williams, I was working in a booth at a local Greek Festival and turned around to see him standing on the balcony behind me. He had shaved his head, apparently to maintain a low profile, but he was still at least somewhat recognizable.

Hanks is married to a Greek Orthodox woman and typically attends St. Sophia Cathedral in downtown LA when he's not in a movie shoot. Sometimes he visits St. Nicholas (in Northridge, the middle of the San Fernando Valley) on the Saturday before Easter. I wound up running into him after the liturgy that morning a couple years ago.
