We have a hell of a lot of mods because... well, because we need them. This is a big board, with lots of posts and threads to read through. Not all of the mods are on all of the time (obviously), and so the super-mods give us some flexibility in keeping someone up as often as possible on all of the different forums.

Actually there are only 9 of us dark lords.

I see no problem with having this many mods.

And besides the time zone issue that Dalton mentioned, there's also the fact that sometimes one mod will find something that one of the others might miss.

Not really.

I've been to boards that LACK enough mods...and those places either get dictatorships or anarcist ramblings.

So far no one has abused it to any heinous degree...so I don't see any problems.

Well, maybe we're not a pit of trolls and spammers because of all the mods: Trolls can have their thread locked, and the admin can deal with them.

But, although we don't get trolls, we do get a lot of flamefests, even between respected members.
