i dont see why it was that big of a deal, but people were all freakin out callin up the news stations and shit. 4.9 may be nothing of an earthquake to you or most others on the board...but its the last thing we think thats gonna happen here in Alabama.

You've got a point. But shit dude, I take offense to that remark. Your just saying that because when we were IMing each other I fucking called WAAY to see what was up. Hell, be our god damned luck, that was just the beginning the Earth was getting ready to open up.
Nathan, I'm not sure on the year, I think it was 1814, and yes, it was the one that caused little big foot size 14 lake. Plus the mighty mississippi flowed bassackwards. My Dad was telling me that, he should know, he was there. LOL.

I slept right through it... but who woulda thunk i'd be oblivious to my surroundings
I even slept through my finacee freaking out
but at my work an acid tank fell over and ate about 4 inches of concrete and i had to clean it up... Damn you earth whyd you have to move and mess up my day at work hehe

I have heard (local news, i think...) that geologists are saying that this could possibly be the start of many. There are literally dozens of quakes that register 1-3 on the richter scale in this region every year.
