Or had a poppyseed bagel. (yes, that myth is true.)

I hate all commercials like that, especially that A-1 commercial with the guy and dog eating dinner.

Another group of commercials that piss me off are them damn TRUTH commercials. Every time I see one of them I have a smoke out of spite. They rank up there with the antidrug commercials.

Being that I worked in a movie theater in the late 80's, I can only see Jason Alexander as the asshole Stucky from Pretty Woman. I HATE him, with a passion.

One out of every two drivers involved in car accidents tested positive for having clipped their nails once in their life. Nail clippers... are they really that harmless?

From the movie Pretty Woman. He played an asshole executive.

And what's up with the "Jack in the Box" commercials? Have you seen the new ones for their salads? Why do they have that music made from a Commodore 64 playing?

And what's the deal with "Jack in the Box" anyway? Everytime I go there, I end up thinking, "this is the worst damn fast food place in the world" but it's the only one open 24 hours here. Is that like cheating or what?

I've never eaten at a Jack in the Box, and I never shall. The way I see it is, they can't get any particular type of fast food made well, so they just make shitty versions of everything.

They have a good way of hiding the facts.
And that doesn't even mean they were actually stoned, just that they'd smoked marijuana recently enough for it to show up in their urine or whatever.
Who said it had to be a urine test? IIRC, any drugs used over the last 9 months will show up in a test of someone's hair. They could have just took the hair of someone who had a joint last summer, and say he was under the influence if that's true.

And there are worse commercials. Some just have some appeal to emotion like "smoke weed and your parents won't trust you".

And, since someone brang up the Old Nave commercials, I think they're annoying as hell.

I wonder how many of those people tested showed positive for enormous quantities of alcohol in their system?

Stravo wrote:Fools!! None of you know brain numbing until you watch Spanish TV and see those commercials. they even have shows like Sabado Gigante (Giant Saturday) where the studio audience sings along to the commercial jingls during the shows. Its fucking embarassing. Hispanic stereotypes abound and by FAR the most offensive are the Lawyer commercials. They act like a slip and fall that killed you or a dead baby in the hospital is like hitting the lotto. Not to mention a talking Rotweiler mascot for one of the law firms. I shit you not.

Bastards.
I have endured such firey pits, brother. My mom's parents watch Telemundo all the time. My grandmother watches hyperdramatic soaps(So I'm redundant? Sue me) and *shudder* talk shows. My grandfather has always been a fan of "Lucha Libre"(In fact, the rumor is that my uncle Nelson was named after the move). The only redeeming thing is that they occasionally broadcast "Godzilla contra Mechagodzilla dos"

Those Arbys commercials with the talking glove are annoying. Not only do I see them every time I turn on the TV, but their attempts at being humorous are pathetic.

And FUCK Tubbys for making those retarded commercials where there's the "trainer" and "trainee" guy, of which the former was an over-weight, creepy looking weirdo who did shitty impressions, and the latter being a pimply-faced 18 year-old with GIGANTIC ears and a demented sense of urgency about him. The Elvis bits that they re-ran OVER and OVER (sometimes as much as twice in a row) REALLY wore on my nerves, with the "hey man can you get a me a grilled steak," and the "No no, we grill the sub, no?" in a French accent. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!

I'm not sure if TV shows will be replaced by commercials, the commercials will just get even more annoying and overplayed.

Given tv shows are increasing becoming shorter and shorter, it would mean the same annoying and overplayed commerical(s) get even more airtime.
