You said in the part where the G-Man locks you out of the landing field and keeps you from getting the hell out of the facility, which is in Opfor.
EDIT: Damn, now I'm getting Half-Life and Opposing Force single player messed up.
So it would seem. Yikes. www.gamefaqs.com dude, it'll help you out.

Very soon 'Condition Zero' will be released by Vavle, which is Counterstrike with missions, bots and a single player element.
In the meantime, see if 8-10 people you know and trust have CS on their computers and set up a game against them. CS on an office LAN where you know everyone playing and can really get down and dirty is FUN! Even if, as in every other FPS created, I get killed more times than Kenny.

After installing Half-Life and then Counter-Strike, I downloaded more than 400 megabytes of stuff (patches for the above two, and DoD, and various map packs). Although I am still having problems getting into my ISP's fastest servers (something, I suspect, has to do with the compulsory Cheat-Death anti-cheat program), I managed to find a working CS server among them.
After an hour of so of playing, I have to admit that it's pretty fun. The fact that I had a pretty good morale booster towards the end (me somehow getting a 2/5 win rate as a Tango against two CT, one who previously seemed invincible) was... Beneficial
