Don't worry about it too much. Not to hijack this thread any more (I think it's a nice topic), but it's not the practice of newbie-hazing that bugs me, it's the fact that it happens in every single thread, almost. Start up a "Welcome, Newbies" thread in the OT forum or something, y'know? I hate seeing a good debate interrupted by three pages of "POKE DA N00B!"

Hmmm... What if the NDF effect bahaves badly? Ie. Full powered blast hits Stormie in the chest, and while the plate vanish, the Stormie inside is unharmed and proceeds to immediately blow the Fed away?

It's possible. The NDF effect, classically, effects lighter, less-dense materials better, like silicates, but has a harder time against denser armor or heavy metals. Stormie armor is described as "plastoid", and it looks like it behaves like a light material... if this is so, NDF will have a field day with it.

I guess it depends on how well NDF will transmit between the armor, the black underlying body glove, and then to the stormie's body.

I think, however, that any blast strong enough to cause this effect would also be enough to throw a stormie around, possibly disable him temporarily.
