My point is, wearing black doesn't make you a Sith, or else there are several Sith infiltrating the Jedi Order in the prequels. ; p

My Good/Bad quote also applies to the other characters in the movies... there isn't a clear cut symbolic divide between black and white, unless GL wanted to totally confuse everyone. I think its safe to say he did it for stylistic purposes only.

Yes it's a stylistic consideration, but a completely deliberate one: originally Lucas wanted bad guys to have red sabers, and good guys to have blue ones. In RotJ he had to give Luke a green one because there was poor contrast against the desert sky in the barge fight. Don't remember all the Jedi in the AotC arena, but Mace pretty much said "I want my mothafucking purple saber" and everything went to hell Of course, before that, comics and other EU stuff pretty much ignored this little bit of trivia and simply made yellow, purple, hazel, fucsia and mustard blue lightsabers.

But there wasn't any "schientific" explanation for the colors, just storytelling and to be able to easily differentiate good from bad guys.

Exactly. The symbolism breaks down rather quickly, even if it was in place in the first film somewhat.

People have tried to do the same thing with blaster shots and turbolaser color, but there isn't a whole lot of consistency and continuity there either as the movies go.

Some people are still able to come up with some type of philosophy about the saber colors though. Taking into account only the ones seen in the movie.

Of course if you try hard enough you can find damn near anything you want in a movie.
