- screw building DS etc. just poor the money into quadrupaling the size of the ISD fleet to 100,000 or so. A bit more useful than one big battlestation.

Yeah, the problem with the DS is that it can't be everywhere at once.
- Make more small, manovourable ships like the carrack cruiser to deal with rebel fighter squadrons

the Empire tried with the Lancer Frigate, but it was never mass produced.

Captain_Cyran wrote:The Executor is only 8000 meters long (mind you that is still huge). Read the Official Guide to Vehicles and Vessels. Not to mention that if you look at the length of the Executor to the length of an ISD it is no where near 17.5 Km long.
Hehehehehe....
http://www.theforce.net/swtc/ssd5mile.html

And this is how an ISD would be compared to an SSD, this is clearly not the case in the movies, and then there are other sources wich say 11 times are large, wich translates into 17.6km.

This doesn't mesh, with the movie does it?

The Bridge on the ISD's are alot larger on the SSD for one, and in the shot from the movie, we can see that this is not so, the Executor's bridge is quite some distance away yet is nearly the same size as the ISD bridge, it's most likely they are of the same size.

If the pic were to scale the SDs would be about 1/4 the current size.

I realized that, and I fixed it, the problem is the damn quote in quote system.

Edit, where did cpt. Franks post go?

I'll explain:
His Devine Shadow quoted Captain Cyran but accidently my name appeared above the post above the post, which said executor was only 8 km long. I then posted that I didn't say that, and HDS fixed it, then I deleted the post again! That was it, basically.

The BTM CD states 12 800 km AND 8000 km.

Perhaps there was more than one type of super star destroyer

"Super star destroyer" referes to anything bigger then an Imperator.

It's obviously not an Executor.

That is interesting! BTW, there was a modification to the original Executor type, seen in the BFC books.

Simple dude...

To improve the empire, just build a frigging Death Star WITHOUT the damn exhaust ports. Or if exhaust ports are aboslutely necessary, have the exhaust routed through a couple thousand gazillion 1mm square armoured tubes such that no torp is gonna fit through.

NO, you definitely do not built an opening to the main reactor big enough for a Corellian Frigate to fly into!!!

Or just put a hatch that can be closed on the exaust port.

Has already been done. DS 2 was built that way. But it wasn't completed by the time the rebels attacked. Had it been completed, it would have been nearly invincible.

1. No Death Star, Nice idea, To Expesnive
2. Step up Avenger and Defender production, Take exsiting TIEs (Regular and Interceptor along with Bomber) and re assign them to backwater worlds
3. Clearer Chain of Command
4. I still want a uber big(Say 20 KM) sized Command Crusier
Gotttta impress da ladies ;)
5. Upgrade Curret Storm Trooper weapons, Main idea, under-slung gernade launcher
6. Creat more *Elite Units, Why? Nothing says moral booster like having Elite in the Unit name
7. Raise Wages(Love da rich man)
;)

1.Agreed.
2.Agreed, but Interceptors can be upgraded with shields if necessary.
3.What's unclear about it? But if you mean taking Moffs the right of commandeering fleets, agreed.
4.Executors don't suffice, eh? What about an enhanced Executor class, adding 3 km is no problem. And although Eclipses are only 17.5 km long, they feature a superlaser! (Perhaps they're even 35 km long)
5.Agreed. But what about personal shields for officers (they're from Jedi Knight and as such you can doubt their existance-but it's not contradicted by canon, so...)
6.Agreed.
7.Agreed.
