make sense, since if the material has no particles that can interact directly with photons it would be transparent.
Neutrons in neutronium wouldnot, and pure neutronium would be transparent. An occasion photon would be scattered thru direct collision, but the a major potion of photons would past thru.
Neutronium in an Neutron star is mixature of degenerate matter, a few stray protons, and electron mived in a Sea of neutrons, so charge particles would interact with the photons.
Same must be true of the material of the sun crusher..
