Yeah, I bet even half of China's population is more than that of the US...

China has a population of over 1.2 billion, America has less then 300 million.

I bet you're right!
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

Code: Select all

China:
Land area: 9,326,410 sq km
Population: 1,284,303,705
Population density (ideal): 138 people / sq km

USA:
Land area: 9,158,960 sq km
Population: 280,562,489
Population density (idea): 31 people / sq km
Clearly china is about 4.5 times more densely packed then the US. Then you have to consider that Neither country is entirely lived on, especially not China with its vast open expanses. Both countries are densely populated (tho not as much as, say, britain with a population density of about 247 people / sq km).

Didn't that happen in Japan one time? And their children grew up to be fearsome samurai ninjas, half-dog, half-man, who laid waste to the countryside in ever popular and merchandisable adventures?
That's the wrong way to tickle Mary, that's the wrong way to kiss!
Don't you know that, over here lad, they like it best like this!
Hooray, pour les français! Farewell, Angleterre!
We didn't know how to tickle Mary, but we learnt how, over there!

Take one subcontinent, geographically isolated by the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean.

Add every religion on Earth, including several that are extinct everywhere else and several more which call for converting or killing everybody else.

Invade. Repeat as necessary. Do not replace the previous culture with the next, just allow them to layer one on top of each other.

Toss in a billion people, a screwy econmy that can't decide if it wants to be socialist or not, a benignly incompetent government, and a pinch of nuclear weapons.

Alternately drench and bake. When you're done, you'll get a country where boys piss beetles and girls marry dogs. India isn't amazing that weird shit happens there, it's amazing the Goddamn place is as normal as it actually is.

Actually the U.S. is larger than India, here's a list of the 5 largest countries:
  1. Russia
  2. Canada
  3. China
  4. U.S.
  5. Brazil
That list is sorted by land area, not population. I was talking about population. Millions of square kilometres of empty land are not significant in a discussion of societal oddities.
sorry about that I misunderstood.
