Cut it out, shep. The mods don't own the board, Mike does. If it was for me and the majority of mods, Chewtoy and company would have been long banned. Mike disagrees because he wants to debate them in home soil, that's enough.

My view is, what's done is done. I didn't know him really beyond the Irish remark and some of the anti-American threads mentioned, so I'm certainly not shedding any tears over it.

And as for whether or not it was right, well, my view is this: it's Mike (is it Michael or Micheal or just Mike?) Wong's board. Not yours. You don't like it, go get your own board, and you can run it however you want.

If you about notifing him about the reason for his ban, I sent him a pm, but appearantly he still hadn't read it when he was temp banned. I was going to send him an email but he had choosin not to recieve emails via the board. Then he posted in the Testing forum, and the reason for his temp ban was explained there.


If you mean giving him yet another warning about his behavior, he was given none, because he has had numerous warnings in the past about his behavior on the board.

Ted's full of shit. What a surprise. He was warned on many occasions prior to this most recent event, and then when he made the anti-Irish posts he was given a warning that he didn't read.

As for Enlightenment, I'll tell you what, Shep. I thought he was a fucktard who deserved to be banned, and certainly didn't deserve to be a mod; a good number of mods also disliked him. Probably he would have been banned, but he just up and left before we took any action. The administration here has a very long fuse, and Enlightenment hadn't quite burned it down all the way by the time he was gone.

And what's the point of banning someone who's never on the board anyway?

I, too, am glad that Enlightenment is gone, and also must say that he should have been popped like a nasty zit long before. It is a moot point now though....

Ted on the other hand, was an obnoxious, misogynistic, racist prick who went out of his way to make life miserable for certain segments of the SDnet population, most notably the girls and women here. He also spammed his bullshit wherever he pleased. Last but not least, he ignored multiple warnings to cease and desist, as well as disciplinary actions.

In short, if it was my choice, I'd keep Enlightenment and get rid of Ted. The current situation I find acceptable.

Yeah, but a mod shouldn't be doing the trolling and whatnot being rather widely attributed to him. Even if it was only confined to just one forum. Mods are supposed to set an example of conduct. Granted, that example is generally looser around here, but trolling and the rest are not acceptable, and if he was doing that, he shoulda been demoded, no matter how good he may've otherwise been.

Look, my only comment is that like RC Ted needed to grow up, we have some good teens, and we have some immature little shits. I think that what both boys need was to grow up and become men.

Sure we have some fairly mature children here like Stormbringer and on and off behavior from Hemlock who is much younger, I still don't see anything wrong with either one that a little time and maturity won't cure.

Nothing personal IP, Shep has a load of bullshit floating in this thread. For the record I AM NOT DEFENDING ANYONE! However, Enlightenment did his mod job. He was titled. Curmedgeon which is pretty damned insultive if you know what it means, and how to speel it correctly. Yeah, I thought at one time he should have been banned, but then again, they let me flame the fuck out of his retarded ass on a constant basis.

Ted was already temp banned (along with YOU MK) once before for the same type of behaviour. There's no real double standard here. He was a half twit fucktard and got exactly what he deserved. I'm just sorry I didn't get to flame his ass before he got booted.
