Welcome to X4 manufacturing zone. We have prepared three orbital factory facilities that could be of use to you.

The first one is a complete fabrication plant, for which you input raw materials in one end and get completed items out the other end. The plant can be configured to produce almost anything provided it is not too large (maximum size 50x50x50 meters) and the component materials are all provided. Small objects can be created almost instantly, and the largest and most complec objects take several minutes.

Our next facility is a large-assembly station. It is fed parts and modules of whatever is being made (for this, usually a large spaceship or station) and rapidly assembles them into the finished unit. The plant's outer shell is made of a linked-scaffolding type design that allows it to expand to a maximum diameter of 20km and a minimum of 1km. Inside it are a large quantity of focused tractor beams and manipulator arms that do the actual assembly.

The last plant we have on display for you is a materials-harvesting station. It usually destroys asteroids and separates them into their constituent parts. It can land on and take off from a planetary surface and eat the crust to gain resources from that as well. If none of a desired resource is available, the internal fusion system can fuse lighter elements into heavier ones that would be of use, but this is extremely time-consuming and is not desired if alternatives are available. One would want this plant if their mining operations are inefficient or they lack the resources necessary to construct what they need.

Our fleets are being dispatched as a purely defensive measure, to ensure that law and order remain in place on the frontier worlds, and to ensure the safety of Commonwealth citizens from the grim prospect of the Hive's slavery.

As of yet, there is no need for foreign military or economic support.

While we share no border with the hive, there is a large stretch of frontier territory a few thousand light-years across and dotted with available star systems, between us and the Hive. Our own settlers in the region fear that their operations may be threatened by Hive colonists- the Hive is notoriously insular, and famed for its horrific treatment of those it controls.

If you would call up your star map, you will see this frontier zone, stretching from sector C-2-5 to sector F-2-5, with large borders on the Hive, the Three Suns Commonwealth, and the Caliphate, and a small border with the Guu.

Consisting largely of untamed systems, we have been settling this area for some time now. Now, with the appearance of Hive colony ships in the area, we feel a need to protect our citizens who have, until now, lived away from the protection of the Provincal picket fleets.
