What the hell is it with everyones parents watching what you do on the net? My parents don't even dare go near my computer, they don't understand any of this computing thing.Enforcer Talen wrote:my mom thinks you are all obsessed.
Heck, if my parents saw what I was surfing on the internet, they'd probably start watching. His Divine Shadow wrote:What the hell is it with everyones parents watching what you do on the net? To be fair the trailers I've seen for Star Wars were incredibly bad. I have them on my 'legally obtained' OT DVDs and I think if I saw a trailer like that in the cinema now I'd burst out laughing. They didn't even bother to colour the lightsabres in...Darth Wong wrote:Cultural snobbery. The advance trailers for SW were loudly booed by one artsy-fartsy crowd back in 1977, causing Lucas to have yet another crisis of confidence and think that the film would be a box-office disaster. Of course, the artsy-fartsies did not represent the majority.Admiral Johnason wrote:My mom also lets me do it, but she feels that Sw novels are below me.
What novels does she think you should be reading? And how does she present evidence to show that they are better for your mental and psychological development?

Movie commercials in the 1970s were all like that. The modern style of quick-cut epileptic-editing heavily-produced movie commercials where the whole plot is given away in 20 seconds did not exist back then, because marketing has really changed in the last few decades.Crazy_Vasey wrote:To be fair the trailers I've seen for Star Wars were incredibly bad.
