Alright then.

Ewoks seem to have a religion that invloves worship of a golden idol. Also, they were using a rare dilect that was a directive of a language 3PO knew. We can asume that they were seperated from this other culture. They also seem to be quite old, as 3PO points out by saying that it is a very primative dilect. They probably didn't let it evolve beyond a certian point because of a lack of need. So they could be a long lost civilization or a cut off species saved from extinction.

And I was only joking, no spam intended.

Well if we wanna take a trip in the way-back machine to the first draft of the ROTJ script, the "Green Planet" (later renamed Jus-Endor) was an unspoiled ecosystem waiting habitation.

I don't know how well that holds up to the canon (probably not at all), but at least GL's original intention for Endor was that it wasn't tampered with. That would mean no Ewoks from outside of there.

Because he is a dendrophilliac, and on back country roads, there aren't many trees around...
Actually I was transporting it to my sister's house via Old Country Road, which runs past at least two malls (including Roosevelt Field) and three major shopping centers. So there.

The whole "conservation society" aspect is interesting. Perhaps someone should bring this up with Saxton...

Their like Tribbles without the soothing cooing. They worship C-3PO; how smart can they be to worship the droid designed after the girly guy from Will and Grace? Saying Ewok in the Empire is a turnoff to most women and stuffed bears are illegal because of the resemblance.

I like Ewoks, but they just aren't worth the fuel to save.
Is there a single thread you post to where you don't waste precious bandwidth or kill off the rest of our brain cells?

Can't the Ewok movie occur before it was destroyed?

When exactly before RotJ would it occur, then? Occam's Razor.

Unknown. But there was an Ask The Jedi Council question on SW.com once, asking when the Ewok movies took place. The response was sometime before the Empire started building the Death Star.

The first or the second? There is a four year didderence and that could have affected teh Ewok's memory of humans.

Actually, they may have not. Leia seemed surprised to learn Endor was inhabited. Since it is a santuary moon, perhaps during the Old Republic the original Ewok homeworld was somehow destroyed, and they moved any survivors to Endor to make sure it didn't happen again? (Which would make Dr. Saxton's proposed holocaust terribly ironic)

If i remember correctly the only character to speak of the Ewoks "Endor" as the sanctuary moon was Palpatine (in the movies). Now with Palpatines Death Star hanging around Endor he might see his Death Star as the primary in that cosmic system and the name santurary means that he refers to Endor as a safe place since it holds his shield generator. Endor the "santurary moon" was in fact always the planet Endor and the Ewoks came there after spliting off from some Wookies/Jawa relationship.

and Dalton do you mean old country road Deer Park cause if you do i thought i was the only Jedi hanging around in seclusion here

Remember how much of a "goody two-shoes" Padmé was. In some of the deleted scenes for AotC she shows Anakin some pictures of herself and some alien kids from a race that one of the groups she had belonged two had tried to evacuate from their doomed planet. Perhaps doing stuff like that was rather common in the Republic at one time?

It could be that the YV put them there as the YV's language also resembles a traders language if i remember correctly and the planet endor was destroyed by the YV because it held a machine loving species. also the ewoks could have been saved from that droid loving culture - explains worship of 3P0- by the YV and placed on the moon- a sanctuary of the jungle that endor used to be like

course that theory goes to crap if endor was a gas giant

I dearly hope you're kidding about Hicksville or using it to mean the boonies, and it's not an actual place's name.

If it is, give me directions. :)
