Twin Peaks... Never seen the movie, but I read a book once, "The Diary of Laura Palmer", i think it was called, with the label Twin Peaks Book. It was a fictional girl's diary, telling how she was molested by something named BOB and how she turned into a crack-addicted slut, pretty much. I've been trying to find a movie or TV series or SOMETHING that this is related to (it says it's related to something, but doesn't say WHAT). Does this sound related to the "Twin Peaks" movie?
Twin Peaks was David Lynch's foray into the television genre.

The book you read is indeed, based on the series.

First season of Twin Peaks was great.
Second, not so much.
The movie got a big WTF from me....
Ah. Were the first and second seasons ever released on VHS/DVD?

VHS, yes. DVD, dunno. Haven't seen them in awhile though. Lara Flynn Boyle's first big role, BTW, for those who are so inclined.

Which reminds me on the B movie formula, need to get Laura Flynn Boyle and one of the Tilly sister's together as daughter and mother.

Was "Gattaca" really that weird?? I thought it just was another tirade against the supposed evils of biotechnology.

"Mutant on the Bounty"

It was a direct to video, and I just couldn't resist after I saw its title.

In it's defense, I think it was more concentrating on the negative ramifications of it, namely discrimination against those who aren't genetically enhanced.

Or, in plain english, it was supposed to be a warning against the danger of eugenics. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that films like "Gattaca" serve only to brake the progress of technology.

Donnie Darko. Watch it and you'll see what i mean. In my opinion it was a huge waste of time, money and effort. The effort was in no obeying my every imnpulse to eject the DVD and take a hammer to it. As i've said before directors are striving to make a "smart" ending, some strive so hard they do a 180 and make the dumbest fucking endings imaginable.

Pi was more of a mindfuck than weird, in my opinion.

1. Star Wars Holiday Special : I don't know if you could call this a movie, but I was asking someone to strangle me halfway through it.

2. Blow Up : One of the first art films I had to analyze in an english class. It was tough, because at face level, it had no interesting plotline, but the deeper you dug, the more it had.

3. FlCl : again, not a movie, but fucking weird all the same.

I don't know if it really counts, but I saw Mission: Impossible when I was about eight. I swear that I've never been more completely baffled by a movie plot, ever.
