I could handle being blind. It'd be a hassle, but I'd deal with it.

I couldn't live if I lost my hands.
The revolution is successful, but survival depends on drastic measures. Your continued existence represents a threat to the well-being of society. Your lives means slow death to the more valued members of the colony. Therefore I have no alternative but to sentence you to death. Your execution is so ordered.

Kodos, Governor of Tarsus 4.

Being a player of an instrument as well as a composer of music, and a writer, I would simply go nuts. I could not begin to imagine not being able to see and fully experience all of life's treasures.

Doge Enrico Dandolo - One's ability to do great things hardly ends with one's sight, even in times far more harsh than these.

I care too much for movies, videogames, and television to bear being blind. Blindness is the only thing I can imagine that would give me suicidal tendencies.

I could just barely stand being deaf, but stand it I could. But blindness? Perish the thought.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

My vision isn't too bad compared to Kelly and Tosho's but my damned astigmatism makes everything blurry without my glasses. So even though my main problem is seeing things at a distance it is a royal pain in the ass to try and read stuff on this board without my glasses. I can do it if I put my face six inches from the screen.

I definately would not like being blind. I get hints of what it would be like (enough for me anyway) everytime I wake up and have to struggle to read my clock.

Losing my hearing would suck and definately take the enjoyment out of many things in life besides those that would go away completely.

I imagine losing your hands would be one of the worst things for most members of this board. I suppose there could be ways of setting up a computer so most things would work well without hands but think of all the other things it would ruin. Wanking would be almost out of the question except for those very flexible people who could do it with their feet. Touching yourself at night would be dangerous if you had replaced your hands with metal hooks. Also some of the enjoyment would be taken from anal sex because what's anal sex without some ass slapping action? :D

It'd be very difficult. But as long as I have my loved ones, I won't give up.

For me it would get interesting, since my hearing is fucked. I'm more likely to totally lose my hearing than to lose my sight since I am *very* careful around my lasers, especially since most can remove my retina instantly even with a beam-scatter. (errant light from the beam, not a reflection)

However, I do have some advantages over most people, I seem to do quite well in full darkness, and it is not totally eyesight, I just tend to know where to go and how to step, don't ask me how, since I don't know.

I would get cyborg eyes, like have been shown in Wired magazine. I'm sure that they will be able to advance that sufficiently in a relatively short amount of time.
