I just got done last night for "Vehicle sideways when driving at 50 - 60 km/h" $210, a side street at 11:45pm sat night
He was really cool about it. I didn't see the police car of the other side of the lights and slid around the corner. He followed me and caught me doing it again, and only gave me one ticket and subtracted no points.

What does the court get out of it? How do they justify lowering a garaunteed speeding ticket to a couple of parking tickets?

Lower offense rate, I suppose. Fewer speeders on record.

Well, maybe. I've been stopped twice, once for weaving around (I was driving home from work and fucking exhausted; the officer thought I might be drunk) and for speeding. I've only gotten one ticket. I've heard that OP has tough cops too, but I don't really have a standard of comparison...*shrugs*
