It's my own personnal wet dream! And you HAVE the Rocky Mountains!
And LOADS of parks and empty space to ride!!
GRRRR!! Talking about unfair circumnstances!
Nope, I too am a mountain biker, in fact I'm so hopelessly addicted that I work for a bike shop. It's the only way that I can pay for my habit, keeping 4, that's *four* mountain bikes running ain't cheap! Did I mention that 3 of them have XTR parts on them? Being a bike shop bum does have advantages! The other bonus is I get to go to trade shows, and I'll be the first to get my hands on any new stuff out there. The only bad thing is there's not much epic riding where I live, I have to drive a few hours to get to the good stuff, and the really good stuff (Rocky Mountains) is a few time zones away from me.
And so I have to make do with shorter rides where I am, and travel out of the city for any rides longer than a couple hours or so. Most of the trails in my area are pretty short "lunch ride" type stuff, but they're really good fun. Which is why I'm moving to Ottawa as soon as I can, they have a national park with tons of trails right by the city. Did I mention my summer trip to Monte-Sainte-Anne to ride their world cup mountain bike courses? That was fun!!
