EDIT: Anyone know where I can D/L "Dixie"?
Oh Dixieland
That's where I was born
Early, Lord, one frosty morning
Oh look away!
Look away
Look away, Dixieland
Oh I wish I was in Dixie
Away, Away
In Dixieland I'll make my stand
And live and die in Dixie
Away, Away
Away down South, in Dixie
Away, Away
Away down South, in Dixie
That's all I can recall of the Choral Performance my school choir did of it back in .... uh... 1985. I do know that the original lyrics (which these may or may not be) were actually written by a lady from either Pennsylvania or New York, whilst the lyrics for the Northern theme "BattleHymn of the Republic" was written by a lady from one of the Carolinas, iirc.
