1. An asteroid is about to hit what?
Proxima Centauri? Am I required to care?
The NX-01? Hell YES! Let's party!!!
Earth? If so,
2. how large is the asteroid? Will it destroy Earth? If so, I'll naturally help stop it, the moon's a pretty lonely place.
Will it destroy Europe or the US? Still try to stop it, as I live in one and get most of my entertainment from the other.
Australia? Stop it. The australians here are OK, and Mel Gibson's cool.
Africa? Letting it hit may actually be an improvement.
France? This is a trick question, right?

I am afraid JLA regulations require you to help stopping the asteroid no matter what, Master Bruce.

That's right, unbeknownst to you ALL, I have in orbit around neptune as we speak a ship of unspeakable power, size and....well....POWER!!!!! the ship is so powerful, in fact, that just purging the wastewater tanks would be sufficient to blast the asteroid so far off course, the sun's gravity would have no chance of pulling it back. It'd blast it right out of the solar system.

Out of the choices, I'd choose the rabbits. But what I'd probably end up doing is start playing video games and not stop until the asteroid hits.

I had a dream like that; but in it I had a spaceship, and I was trying to contact as many people as possible so I could find them and resue them before it hit. I was sitting at my computer in the final hours, making the last few phone calls, and browsing this board and reading the teary goodbyes that were written a few days earlier when the impace was announced. Then I shut down my computer for the last time and boarded the shuttle to my ship.
