Actually, that's no evidence. Luke's mechanical hand looked like a normal human hand until it got shot in RotJ. That a mechanical hand didn't drop to the ground when he vanished is a bit better evidence, though.

Here's two pix of the same scene, so you can see the front and back cover of the AOTC VD:
I have seen the SW VD in one scene, but I don't seem to have it on my HD. There's a section of the Webcam called "What Did You Miss?" which lists things like this.

Stravo wrote:Yet Obi Wan as a padawan didn't receive a scratch from Darth Maul and you underestimate Anakin's desire to seriously kill his friend.
And Darth Maul wasn't touched either, save for the killing blow. This fight with Obi-Wan and Anakin is described as being so brutal, that they're LUCKY if they receive a PG-13 rating.
And again, Anakin is supposed to be as good or even better than Obi-Wan in lightsaber combat. Do you seriously believe that Obi-Wan suffers no injury?
Maybe the fight is a tragic one, with each Jedi trying to really not kill the other. Anakin is fending off Obi Wan and trying to drive him away and Obi Wan is trying to keep Anakin busy while trying to get through to him to return to the light (granted that's unlikely considering what I've been hearing about the duel, that its supposed to be the most kinetic of all the duels in the entire series)
Anakin doesn't suffer worse injuries than Maul from someone trying to SAVE him!
Also you're overlooking GL's statement that the head wound was received in another incident and NOT the duel since he says he's looking for the EU to explain the head wound.
Wrong. He said ONE of the scars. Remember Vader's TWO scars at the time of his death?

Tis but a silly idea, anyway.
Seriously. It sounds like something a sixth grader would come up with. No offence, of course.

Oh really. So in this brutal fight, there's no way, in your mind that Obi-Wan could possibly be injured at all?

Oh yes, since we all know [injury = automatic dismemberment].
Oh, and I believe you're in error above. I think they said that they'd be lucky to get a PG rating, rather than lucky to get a PG-13. I doubt they'd be designing R rated content for a SW film.
That, and they could have just been using hyperbolie...

Anyone think Obi-Wan has a mechanical limb or two as well? I mean, look at the condition of Anakin in ROTJ. Can you imagine Obi-Wan being in that battle and not even be slightly scarred? Not even a Han Solo cut on the chin?
From what Obi-skin we saw in ANH, (eww...) Obi-Wan could have a huge gash across the torso. He COULD have lost an arm or a leg in that duel. OR...to bring up an OLD theory...can the Obi-Wan we see in ANH be a clone? (Anyone remember the OB-1 stuff?)
True. He was chopped up pretty badly in AOTC, but his style of dress conceals most scars. Unless he takes a face injury, he could have been injured in a variety of ways in his life and you'd really never know. However, a mechanical limb would imply that he lost quite badly, as I can imagine someone continuing to fight after being slashed, but not after losing a whole limb; I think it more likely that he is scarred but not actually missing a limb.
Now the EU character that is to be in Ep3 has been said to have been seen in the novels, comics, and games. The only character I can think of that has been in all three is really Thrawn. Thoughts?
I hope it's Thrawn. But if it is, there's the risk that they might make him act or look wimpier and less grandiose than we've always imagined him.

I got the impression GL was referring to a scar on Anakin inside of Ep3, rather than one he got at the end. In that shot, it doesn't look like a scar; it looks like a gaping open flesh wound.

I suppose the #1 thing I'm hoping for is that Lucas has the story writing ability to do Episode III while still keeping the ESB Anakin/DV "I am your father" revelation a surprise.
Then again, these are the prequels we're talking about.

I bet Obi-Wan dies in Episode 3, and Lucas replaces him with a walking solid hologram (which would explain why he vanished, to reappear later as a ghost). Then Yoda commits suicide and also they make a hologram for him. And Vader is a hologram too. In fact they are all holograms, except the Ewoks, which are the only real heroes.

Obi-Wan could take lots of minor cuts and scrapes- even to the face, and have them healed with bacta or covered with synthflesh.

Yes, but how come Han Solo couldn't be healed from the scar to his chin that he got with his whip on that circus train?

He also might not have decided to go to (or have access to) a hospital (for bacta) or have a properly stocked medical kit (synthflesh) when he received it.
Han probably just did a do-it-yourself bandage job like most of us do in real life when we bang ourselves up. Since we don't go to the hospital every time we get hurt, I'd bet that a lot of people in the Galaxy would behave the same, especially those in the fringe of society like Han.

You're all wrong. Han Solo never hit himself with a whip. Indiana Jones did.

I knew that. Just didn't want to look like the hardass nitpicker I usually am.
You know how Harrison Ford got that scar in real life, right? In his teens or early twenties, he hit his chin on a metal steering wheel because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt when either in a minor accident or breaking suddenly (can't remember which).

I would appreciate an explanation of "General" Kenobi. And something more than "He's a general"....
How do Jedis get to be generals, anyway? Defect from the order? Maybe the Jedi are given military status under Palpatine so they can be labelled treasonous to avoid public outcry when they're hunted down?
So many questions.....

The Jedi are already expected to take command and fight for the Republic as per AOTC and the Clone Wars EU.

I had a nice idea that the Eu character could be Nejaa Halcyon
(doges cans thrown by corran-haters) I mean,Nejaa died just after the clone wars right? whens ep III? just after the clone war. Nejaa dies on a mission with the "great jedi general desertwind. Well if u need to ket old obi1 out of the way so annie can be seduced to the dark side. You can have go on his mission to stop the jenasaari and have old nejaa featured. You could even show Annie's dark side tendacies by having him mock "wing-clipped" Halcyon for his lack of Tk
