Could it be that Mike's doing some server maintainence?

The main link's been "forbidden" for me all day, but the secure link hasn't been giving me any trouble....

I get a 403 from the primary link, but the backup works pretty decently (aside from lots of IE bitching about unsecure elements on the page).

403/Forbidden on the standard link, and the alternate seems to log me out the instant I go to the forum index.
Well, at least now I know it isn't just me...

I've had forbidde most the evening, and the Alternate kept throwing me out while I tried to post. If this one gets through, then Yay.
My guess is maintenance work.

Well, here goes...
I'm dragging out my sockpuppet because I'd rather not have my unread threads marked as read if it logs me out for some odd reason.
So, hopefully, this will preserve what I have read and what I have not read.
Of course, I can't look into any of the private forums or check any of the masses of PMs you all have sent me (ha ha, yeah right...

) but I'll live. Maybe.
*wonders what's been going on in The Mess*

Hate to 'me-too' but I'm one of the Forbidden as well. Not having any of the secure link troubles you guys are having though

OK, I have been trying to post, and I finally got this up. Before, I kept getting this error:
Code: Select all
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 184320 bytes) in /home/virtual/site3/fst/var/www/html/language/lang_english/lang_main.php on line 492

Another thing i noticed...even when i've read a thread, they are marked as unread, it's a weird thing to see your own name and "unread thread"arrow thingie.

Looks like PHP ran out of memory (8MB allocated or so). I wouldn't surprised if the huge HTTPS load was partially to blame for that.

I was getting the Forbidden error during the day, but I can access the board through the main link as of now.
I'm on mozilla if it helps

It works on IE5 too now.

Sorry, guys. I had to move the board because my phone line has gone to shit in the last few days. The phone company says they're going to work on it, but I don't know when that will be.
When I moved it, I checked to make sure it was working, but I only checked the secure link. I didn't check the non-secure link, and it turned out I had to shut off a few options to make the non-secure link work properly.
I originally moved it to my home LAN because MJ's server crapped out, but it's back on MJ's server again. I'll E-mail him about the PHP resource limits.

Sorry for the meaningless email, Mr. Wong.

Well new problems arise, I'm getting the following error about three out of four times I try to view a thread.
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database. The SQL server may be overloaded. Please hit the "refresh" button on your browser to try again. If the problem persists, please E-mail
mike@enetexperience.com and inform him that there is a problem with the SQL server.

The main site is now working for me. Though a quick check on the Alternate showed the Same SQL error as everyone else is getting. Hopefully enough people will see the Main link is open again and so the alternate will start to free up now.
